Hey :) I Think I'm (Finally) Back!

Ok first I would really like to say I'm sorry for not posting even after I did a post saying I would post. I'm not really sure if that made any sense but whatever I'll just get on with the point. I didn't know what to post about!!! There is so many things I can do...but so little a the same time. I have to do an exciting, fun post- but a post that is also informative. It has to be smart, but cute. A lot of pictures, but a lot of words also. The list goes on and on and on! Then I started thinking(LIGHTBULB MOMENT): don't many designers get inspiration from things they've done before? I could probably do the same :) So I went back to my 3rd post...the one after my introduction and a small dress post, and found it- My Loves and Hates of the time I posted it. The experience of looking back reminded me a lot of looking back at my diary when I was like 9 or 10. I sound very young and overexcited and it's pretty embarrassing- but at the same time it's sort of heartwarming . Just like looking at old pictures :) Okay, I'm off topic. Again. Anyways, that is pretty much what this post is going to be about...all of the things I am simply adoring- and the things that should really, welllll just... I mean, go away :)

The Things I Adore :

- Playing guitar: It makes me happy =D Especially when it's Hello Kitty and kept in an adorable VS Pink case! (Note: I have the case, but sadly my guitar is not Hello Kitty :( its Yamaha, and acoustic.)
<--- Random picture I took of my shoes :) - Ed Hardy: Yes, it can be overrated when Jessica Alba wears it in form of trucker hats, but somethings like the sneakers can be very cute. I own a silver pair with skulls and they are to dieee for :) And yeah, I know that saying that trucker hats are overrated and then inserting the picture above of trucker hats doesn't make much sense. But, hey, I'm complicated! (And indecisive, too)

- Red, or Rouge: Woo-hoo! Finally taking French 101 paid off...I know colors- in French! :) But really though, my favorite color by far has to be big, bold, fire-engine red. On lips (in the form of lipstick of course), jewelry, shoes, pencils, purses, cameras, EVERYTHING! Okay sorry I got a tad carried away there- but still, I really do love red. Even my sunglasses are red, which are pictured above ^. They're Marc by Marc Jacobs, and I think they're still available :)

- Photography: Over the past months, I've really been digging (I love that I sound like a desperately trying to be cool parent when i say "diggging") photography. Taking the pictures is awesome, but what I really can't get enough of is giving them effects, contrasting them, etc. The best place to do that for me, is Picasa...I seriously use it everyday :) An old-school Polaroid is definitely on my "Want" list.

- Teen Vogue A-Z: Every single time Teen Vogue does an issue with an A-Z guide, I end up adoring everything on the whole list. Like, seriously, it made me want to buy a bike, wear anime-inspired eyeliner, and love pajamas even more than I already do (pajamas are my favorite things to buy, wear and of course, sleep in). Their were two highlights though, that were actually back-to-back: L for Lego Accessories, and M for Manic Panic! The Lego accessories from Marc by Marc Jacobs are genius, so much in fact, that I am seriously considering doing a DIY project party with my best fraans' to make the belts. Mine will be yellow, just in case you were wondering :) And about the Manic Panic, well, anything involving rainbow bright hair and Debbie Harry excites me; enough said.

My Hates...Or "Dislikes":

- People who think having a good taste in music means liking bands people have never heard of. Even when the band, well, s-u-c-k-s.

- Leggings

- Octopus

- People who think acting airheaded is cute.

- Jonas Brothers...even though they are very cute and all, but they're just soooo annoying!

- Ray Ban Wayfarers...so cute, but soooo overrated.

- Booty shorts <---- haha these make me laugh O.o

- MySpace...it's just too addictive and annoying.

- Gauchos...can you tell I'm running out of things to put yet?

- Anything that gives muffin tops ;)

New Year's Resolution

Ok, I know you guys probably think I've fallen off the face of the Earth...but the truth is, I haven't. I've just been a lazy bum since Aug. 21, my last post. The good part is, the new year is about to begin, and my New Year's resolutions are as follows:

Blog at least once a week starting Jan. 1, 2008
Eat healthier
Let things come as they will come...naturally.
Be more eco-friendly.
Travel more.
Be adventurous.
Keep being chic.

Yes, I know the last one probably sounded a bit conceited, but I couldn't help it! I love being chic and I never want to stop (: Anyways, Happy Holidays to everybody reading this post...and expect more of me in the year to come!!!

Mary-Kate and Ashley's Elizabeth and James Line- Adorable!

Hi! The other day, while I was being a lazy bum and watching E! News on my couch, I saw that they did a feature on Paris Hilton's brand opening in Kitson the other day. Immediately after, I had a major lightbulb moment to save me from Blogger's Block! Yay! I would do it on celeb lines...but who? I mean, I had a pretty huge list to pick from- Sienna Miller, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, and even Amanda Bynes. Paris Hilton gave me the idea to do this post (and I was actually about to do it about her line) until I saw the "collection". Ew. The satin puffy shirts look beyond cheap, and I literally cracked up when I saw a tee with her face on it. So I started thinking of an alternative-hmmm...MK and Ashley! They have come out with two lines: The Row, the more expensive, high end line- and Elizabeth & James- the more affordable line named after their brother and sister. I chose E&J...Here are my favorites of the line- Hope You It!:

Before anything, though: The dress Paris Hilton wore to her collection premiere in Kitson LA. Even though I admit this could tend to go to the rap star/Vegas/tacky/VMA's side, there is another side (which is much better) that is flashy but not trashy- just sort of show-offy, but in a good way. I do have a sort of "evil theory" (LOL) though, that Paris tailored hers so she could look better than everyone else that wears the dress. That, or she pulled it off amazingly, and the model has been doing a lot of what I've been doing over the Summer and not much else (unlike moi)- being a lazy bum. But, whatever. The dress costs $128- oh, did I mention the line was pretty affordable? Oh yeah, I just did :)

Elizabeth and James:

Okay, ah-mazing! It is just so cool and funky (but still glamorous) that it actually makes Paris' collection look like an SNL skit. The White Fur "Glam" Jacket takes center stage, obviously, but the look is made even better with the plum dress underneath. Oh, have a mentioned how much I am adoring the color plum lately? Probably not, as I haven't posted in forever (sorry!) but I hope this post makes up for it :) Anyway, I didn't expect this collection to be SJP for Steve and Barry's cheap, but if this is the "affordable line", than how expensive is "The Row"? The Goat hair jacket is $995, and the dress is $275.

If anybody is thinking of jumping on the chunky knits bandwagon- this is the way to do it. I just love how cozy the sweater looks (I really hope it isn't itchy!) without looking like "loungewear". It looks super versatile, too- but to make it look fashionable and not wierd and 90's (in a bad way, because I know the 90's are coming back) pair it with skinny pants/jeans or leggings. And heels! So cute. The sweater is $365 and has big roomy pockets, too; the leggings are $220.

I just love this dress! If Paris needs any tips on how to design a sequined dress- it's all here. This dress has no Las Vegas/Rap star side- it actually has a vintage-y thrift store side that is just so cool. It may/may not have shoulder pads (I'm not sure), but from the picture, I think it does! Which is great, because it reminds me I seriously have to start taping Golden Girls on Lifetime (or Tivo-ing them) because I'm always missing my fave show EVER. So yeah- oh, and don't you see Chloe Sevigny wearing this dress in the near future? It looks so like her! Anyways, this adorable dress is $495...and wear it with cooler shoes than the model is wearing in the picture, too, please!

Before anything, I'm really sorry for being completely M.I.A. lately, it was a mix of Blogger's Block (it happens a lot to me), lazyness, and not having time- but I'm back- and with a batch of fresh new ideas, too :) As I am über-excited planning a vacation to Paris for my birthday next year I decided to do a post on the fabulous "City of Lights"! I mean, the chic-ness of it is so overwhelming (in a good way)- the petit fours and macaroons, the gorgeous people and not to mention, the shopping. You can tell I am beyond giddy to go on this trip already so what better way to get even giddier than do a post about it? Here are the best places I've found to shop, sleep and dine in Paris (France not Texas!), Enjoy!

Where to Eat!

One of the most premier bakeries in Paris, Ladurée was even recommended to Juicy Couture website readers by Gela Nash and Pamela Skaist-Levy (the creators of the brand)- specifically, their delicious macaroons! They are famously crisp on the outside and smooth and soft in the middle, and they come in 13 permanent flavors as well as some seasonal and limited editions as well. The company also makes a signature perfume, champagne, many other sweets, and adorable wedding cakes.

Where to Sleep!

The Ritz Paris of course! As one of the most famous (and most elegant) hotels in the world, it exudes "ritzy-ness". The drop-dead gorgeous Prestige Suites that include the Coco Chanel suite (she actually lived there for a portion of her life) and the Chopin suite are famous throughout the world...though I have to admit, my absolute favorite is the Elton John suite, done almost completely in pink! Even though it is quite expensive (the most affordable room is 710 €), I promise it is worth every penny. The room pictured here is the Marcel Proust; doesn't it remind you of The Little Princess?

Where to Shop!

Since shopping is my favorite thing to do in any continent, I decided to write about more than one Parisian shop here. One of my favorites is the beyond-hip Colette were everyone who is anyone has shopped. There, you will find everything from Marc Jacobs Mouse Ballerinas (my favorite item in the store) to Disney Swarovski Cell Phone accessories- and an array of beauty products, too (they currently have the Daisy by Marc Jacobs eau de toilette)! Then there is Dedier Ludot which will be the first shop I will set foot in when I go to Paris- I seriously am dying to go. The hype around this vintage couture store located under the arches of the Palais-Royal gardens is beyond imaginable as starlets such as Kate Moss (fashion icon) and Demi Moore (not really a fashion icon but still) regularly shop there. Think Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Hermes- some of my favorite designers (emphasis on Hermes and Dior). Lastly, to shop the real designer stores (not boutiques or vintage shops), head to the Place Vendôme which has everyone from Mikimoto and Tiffany's, to Chanel and Cartier- and is where the Ritz Paris is located.

Not coincidentally the book I am reading now, Project Paris, the follow up to the first book A Girl Like Moi, follows the main character Imogene and her best friend Evie while they are staying in Paris. It obviously has to do a lot with fashion- but it is funny and adorable too! By Lisa Barham.

Hairspray- The Wardrobe!

Last Tuesday I went with my friends to see Hairspray in theaters and honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I really didn't know if it was going to capture the 1950's wardrobe wise, but of course, I really hoped it would as it is my favorite era of fashion. It was a time of prim skirts and coiffed hair and just altogether perfect-ness which I have to admit, I love. And it was a very good surprise when I saw that every single outfit in the movie was perfectly 50's, as was the music (which I am also in love with!). I loved all of the looks, which is why I decided to do a post about my Top 3! Hope You It:

3. I thought this outfit on Brittany Snow was adorable, the a-line dress was perfect with the flowers on the hem and bodice as well as the row of buttons. The sea foam-ish cardigan was coordinated with the look, but not too matchy-matchy which I love. It's pretty wierd that on Snow, the white flats look cute, but on the other girls behind her they look well, not cute. It also helps that her outfit looks pretty and polished, while the other girl's outfits are of the era, but just average. It would have been higher on my list if it wasn't too Martha Stewart/Stepford Wives...I mean, you do have to draw the line somewhere!

2. Oh. My. Gosh. I just loved this!!!! First of all, I adore Queen Latifah in every way, as she is a great actress, singer, comedian, and looks like (I've never met her, obviously) she has a great personality. Also, I really love almost everything she wears for big events (like her gowns) and this year's Oscars were no exception. The plunging neckline on this animal print dress is perfect with the big necklace, and even though I would normally think a completely animal print maxi-dress would be too much, this looks gorgeous. I especially loved the feather boa :)

1. The minute I saw this scene in the movie, I immediately squealed *inside of course, I wasn't about to squeal out loud in a movie theater!*. I adored everything about the dresses- pink, sparkly, and completely over the top! The dresses were also a hit on Ebay, where they both were sold at $1,000+ prices, all the proceeds going to the Meals on Wheels Organization. I loved that in this scene in the movie, they did a complete makeover on Edna Turnbald (the mother of Tracey Turnbald; in real life: John Travolta) and it makes her get the confidence to finally be more sure of herself (and her weight) and to get out of the house much more!

So, I guess you can pretty much tell I loved the movie Hairspray...(I really recommend it!)

VS Pink: So Adorable!

I have had an addiction for VS Pink *Victoria's Secret Pink, for all of you living under a rock lately- Just kidding :)* pj's (or "loungewear" whatever) and accessories for like ever, so I decided that it was a great idea to finally do a post about it! It also kind of helped that commenter Lian gave me the idea for it...Thank you! Anyways, they have a lot of new things out for Back to School that are really cute that I just love...and the best part? With any purchase from PINK, you get a free Pink Mini Dog (while supplies last)! Of course, I already got my VS Pink "fix" today (as well as the mini dog) because it will look so cute in my room. All you have to do is enter the code PINKU when you order through the internet, or you can always get it at the store. Anyways, here are my absolute favorite new Pink things:

I've been in L-O-V-E with this pillow since it came out, because it looks graphic and "cool" while looking cute and girly (because of the pink). The description says it gives "pretty punch" in pillow fights, which I think is sort of dumb as a description, but whatever :) Anyways, I really love it, and it reminds me of something they would feature in a Teen Vogue room! (I adore Teen Vogue) This isn't a new VS Pink item, but I still think it is prettier than all the other new pillows so, there. Anyways, it costs $22.50

This sparkly, adorable tee is great, because 1. It's limited-edition, and 2. It represents all the fun they had in this year's World's Largest PINK Pajama Party in Chicago. I didn't go, but I know that Fergie performed, free PINK items were given out, and the party anthem was Fergie's "Here I Come" which I love. Anyways, this tee-shirt costs $29.50...but all the sparkly/glittery/shiny things on it makes it worth it!

VS PINK has always had it's signature perfume, but now it has added three new scents to it's collection: Sweet and Tart, Fruity and Bright, and Fresh and Clean. I'm dying to smell each of them in the store to know which I like the best, but for now I really think I'm going to like Fresh and Clean the best. Anyways, each new scent has a body lotion $12, body mist $15, and sudsy soap $10.50 (each sold seperately). My favorite has to be the soap though, it looks so cute on a rope! :)

It would be my absolute dream to have taken this to a past sleepover...on top of it probably being really funny to have brought this, it is just so cute- as well as functional. It's even water repellent and has tons of pockets...now that I think of it, it would be great for camping too! Not that I think I'll be going camping any time soon, but it would be great to bring if I would. Anyways, it costs $48.50.

I am completely in between saying this hoodie is completely amazing, or if it is completely tacky...which happens a lot when I'm looking at clothes, now that I think about it. This happens the most when I'm loooking at VS Pink or Juicy Couture clothes, for obvious reasons. Well, whatever, I actually think I like it- but I'm not sure if I would buy it...would you? Comment to tell me, please! It costs $68.

As most of you should know (if you've read my blog before) I'm a sucker for comfy-cuteness. Which of course, is why I just adore this scarf. I am loving rugby stripes (a trend for Fall) and the Varsity P and "peace hand" just make this cuter. Don't you just love that little peace hand? It even has a heart in it :) And, all for $19.50.

The Clique's Adorable Looks!

Okay, first off I would like to thank Emily from The Local Celebrity for giving me the idea for this post- it ties in perfectly with the fact that the new book of the series just came out! By the way, I really recommend it (The Clique: Sealed With A Diss #8)- I just couldn't stop reading it. I also loved the hairstyle of the middle girl on the cover...so much, that I just cut my hair the same way yesterday! Adorable: Red, Sparkly Sunglasses!

Okay, first of all, I'm pretty sorry for my minimal posting lately...but it really is not my fault. I've tried like, 600+ times to get to it, but when I do, nothing comes out! I have (had) a case of Blogger's Block, I guess, and can you please give me ideas of what to post? Please? Okay, then, now on to my post! A couple of days ago I was on yet another trip to the mall and I decided to go in the Louis Vuitton boutique to see if they had anything new. As soon as I step in, I saw the most gorgeous sunglasses I have ever seen- red, sparkly, retro (but not too retro) and perfect for my face- I loved them! Plus, they didn't have that tacky LV logo all over them, just in subtle corners. Of course, I would have to save up for a long time to actualy get them, and I already have an adorable pair that fit me good...but whatever!!!! The only problem is, they're in the store, but not in any websites, so I had to get a picture from one in Ebay (see below). Oh, did I mention they have a Kidz Bop 12? Haha...I've always considered those CD's to be so tacky...but not quite as tacky as Croc's! Anyways, if you haven't heard yet, they have the new Clique Book (#8) already out! My friend already bought it- and says it is a bit boring at the beginning- but that she thinks it might get better :) Just for a closing statement, I'm watching America's Funniest Home Videos and even though I admit some things are hilarious, the audience members look so tacky! The 90's...

Frederic Fekkai Hair Products: Definitely Try Them!

So there I was with my mother in the Clarins counter in Macy's, bored out of my mind while the sales lady tried to get us to buy like a million creams and "serums". I left my mother, and went to check out the Frederic Fekkai hair products close by. Of course I had heard of this "elite" hair brand many times in books like Gossip Girl and The Clique (I think) as well as in magazines but I never really thought about buying anything from there. Luckily, I was running out of my John Freida shampoo and conditioner almost completely, so I had an excuse to buy it! I ended up buying the Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, and that night when I washed my hair, oh my gosh! It felt soft and manageable- I just it. Also, I let my hair air-dry, and not one knot formed in my already longish hair, which is just incredible for my knot-prone hair. Of course, the super elegant-makes-me-feel-pretty packaging helped in making me buy it, too. Definitely try this brand- I already bought the matching Glossing Cream! Trust me- you'll absoulutely love it- and if you don't, um...I owe you a soda? No, the soda will get all hot on the way to your house. So, if you don't love it- sorry, but it worked for me!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things....

Yay! I've finally been tagged by one of my fellow bloggers (Über Chic) and now you get to know all about me! But first here are the...

1. I'm a Glossoholic

I am literally obsessed with lip gloss. I've always wished I could have a Glossip Girl subscription like Massie does in The Clique books, but minus the yucky flavors like Dill Pickle or BBQ Chicken, of course! Anyways, my latest addictions are Chanel Glossimer in Sirop, Benefit Her Glossiness in Life on the A-list, and Benefit The Gloss in Kiss Me- but comment to tell me your favorites so I can try them out...I just sort of want new favorites.

2. I Just Adore Cupcakes!

I mean how could you not like cupcakes? I'm sort of planning for my birthday party to have a platter of cute, decorated cupcakes with a lighted candle in each instead of a cake. Isn't that cute? When I went to NYC, I went to Billy's Bakery which was just so delicious! I loved it. Definitely try it!

3. I Secretly Love Juicy Couture

Which is not such a secret anymore, is it? Well anyways, I just love all that Juicy Couture stands for- girlie, comfy, cute...adorable! Also, before I would just wear anything no matter how uncomfortable it was, as long as it was fashionable. Now I insist on anything I wear to be super fashionable (still first on my priorities) and comfy. And, the jewelry is (usually) fabulous!

4. I Love Everything French!

Pretty dorky, but still completely true! I just adore French Poodles, French manicures, French Vanilla Ice Cream, and French Pink. My Itunes Music Library looks like 10 different people own my Ipod- seriously. I have a lot of Alternative music, like Relient-K, Hellogoodbye, and Plain White Tees as well as 80's Rock such as Boston, Billy Idol () and Journey. I then have a bunch of Latin music like Enrique Iglesias, Ricardo Arjona, and La 5a. Estacion as well as a bunch of Pop (The Veronicas, KT Tunstall, Madonna!). Not to mention the bit of Hip-Hop I have, too, which is mostly by the Black Eyed Peas. I even have some Brazilian music! Gosh, okay...

6. My Favorite Food is...Bacon!

I know I totally sound like that kid on Even Stevens who only ate bacon, but he had a point- it is so yummy! Especially when it is crispy and fresh- with a side of sunny side up eggs!

7. I Am Obsessed With Little, Fashionable Items!

I just adore any thing I can say is adorable. And if you read my blog, you probably have noticed how many times I have said that word- adorable. I really can't stop...maybe I should trademark it? That would probably be the equivalent of Paris Hilton trademarking "That's Hot", so, No Thanks. Anyways, a cute example of a little, fashionable item would be my new Coach Leather Pig Charm which is just so adorable! Oops...sorry :).

I Just Adore Making Outfits! Perfumes? Not So Much!

My favorite past time ever, if this is even considered a past time, is most definitely creating outfits! I mean call me wierd, but I just love to think there are so many adorable outfits in my closet that I haven't even thought up yet! Like I whole little world in there of adorable-ness, that I haven't even half-discovered. And that's why I'm dedicating this post to an outfit creation, all courtesy of ShopBop, my favorite website ever. And to explain the part of the perfumes in my title, it is just that when I was small, I would create little perfumes with water and flowers and such, and then I would put them in my mother's empty perfume bottles. They looked very nice, but the smell? They didn't even smell like anything! And I would consider my outfits to have much more flava than that!

So do you like it? Gosh, it took me forever! My inspiration for this post was just this gorgeous Marc Jacobs cap (with moons and stars on it), but it didn't look good with anything I put it with. Either it looked too matchy-matchy or too wierd, and since I am not the funkiest person in the world, I couldn't pair it up! I then decided on a $600+ Mike & Chris jacket, but it looked a bit too Harley Davidson to pair with a dress as I originally wanted. So then came a brown Diane von Furstenberg which didn't work out, and then (ta-da!) this outfit! I just adore that bracelet by the way! Here are the "credits" (how professional!):

Perfect Perfumes for Summer!

First, I would just like to say that after "Perfect Perfumes for Summer" I was about to continue it with "Try to Say That 5 Times Fast" but then I thought it sounded dorky, and besides, anyone in their right mind CAN actually say it 5 times fast, on account of how Summer is with a "S" not a "P". Also, blogger doesn't let me put titles of posts in italics. Okay, now that I got that over with, let's actually talk about this post! One of my best friends is having a birthday party/ get-together, and I would just love to give her a nice, summer-y perfume. I mean, first of all, it is Summer (so it makes sense to give her a Summer perfume) and I have always just preferred light, fruity perfumes to musky, strong ones. Seventeen magazine said "flirty personalities like fruity perfumes" but that is just completely bogus (haha I said bogus- I think I got that from that blond girl from Hey Arnold..."she had spunk!") because I am not really flirty at all. Okay, am I rambling? I feel like I'm rambling. I just hate ramblers! Let's just get on with this post, shall we?

Summer Perfumes for *cough* "Flirty" *cough* Personalities:

The latest edition of the Bond No. 9 Perfumery is...Coney Island! This perfume is all about the famous boardwalk and everything in it (such as Nathan's Famous hot dogs and the Cyclone Roller Coaster) which I think is just so cute. Of course, this perfume won't make you smell like sauerkraut and mustard- it's just reminiscent of the hot dogs, thankfully! In reality, the smell has hints of margarita mix, caramel, melon guava and more. This is my first pick for my summer perfume! The 1.7 oz. costs $125, while the 3.4 oz. costs $180.

Okay, I liked Ralph, I loved Ralph Cool, and Ralph Rocks was amazing. I just have to love Ralph Hot right? Right. It really is one of my favorite perfumes, and it's sophisticated, not fruity! YAY! I'm not flirty!!! Okay, anyways, this perfume blends mocha cream, cinnamon, maple, vanilla and more. Is it just me, or does this perfume sound edible? And yummy too! It sort of sounds like an exotic kind of Canadian-Jamaican cookie is you really think about it. Anyways, oh no wait! Does this mean I'm sophisticated? Woo-hoo, I'm sophisticated! Score! Okay...dork moment! This perfume costs $45 for the 1.7 oz. and about $60 for the 3.4 oz.

After I read about the perfumery called Comptoir Sud Pacifique in InStyle about a year ago, I just had to find out more about it! Long story short, I read the history of the Parisian company (makers of scents that make you feel like you're in paradise, all perfumes have their signature Tahitian vanilla), and never smelled the scents. Recently, I made a pit-stop to Sephora, and they had the line in stock. I smelled the Vanille Citrus scent with hints of vanilla cream, sugared milk, and blackcurrant syrup and was immediately in heaven! The 1.6 oz. bottle costs $53- expensive, but soooo worth it! Oh, and I changed my mind: this is my first pick for a Summer perfume!

I Just Love Mini Dresses!

Okay, you really can't get anymore girly than a cute mini dress, can you? Paired with flats and cute jewelry you have the perfect chic I'm-going-to-the-mall-but-not-really look. Put together a metallic dress with heels and a nice 'do (oh my gosh...I can't believe I just put 'do- but doesn't it sound a bit cooler that hairdo? I mean, it's obvious I'm talking about hair!) and you're set for a great night out! Here are two outfits, one for day and one for night, that you won't be able to resist (all from ShopBop):

Day Time:

This look is so simple and cute...a lot like my style, actually! My wardrobe is filled with color, color, color, and white. When you get right down to it, I only have one clothing item that is black- and I really don't remember the last time I wore it. Anyways, this Ella Moss Crystal Mini Dress is just the perfect shade of Guava for Summer, for $155. Pair it with uber-comfy Tory Burch Reva Ballet Flats in white, as to not overpower the already colorful outfit for $195. Top it all off with this Vita Milano Bracelet for $176 in Apple Patent (don't you just love that name for a color?) to add a bit of fun to the look, too. A nice pale pink manicure and pearl studs will make this look just the more girlier.

Night Time:

It's so strange how I can just adore two completely different looks so much...I mean really! The first look was light, fun and colorful (cute...), while this look is sort of dark and vampy in a really cool way that is just perfect for night-time. The dress by Alice + Olivia is the Sequin Baby Doll Dress and is definitely worth every penny of the total of $396 (Wow...that's a lot of pennies!)- it is just awesome! The Davis by Ruthie Davis Screen Mary Jane Pump shoes complement the look without looking too matchy-matchy. I especially like that when they did metallics, they used a bronze strap instead of the average gold or silver. They're on sale for $346.50- maybe I should try Nordstrom for other metallic shoes. Last but soooo not least, is the Giles & Brother Rope Heart Chain Necklace for $163. It also has a bronze-looking chain to complement the shoes (I love it when people notice your outfit goes together, but really don't know why...pairing this necklace and the pumps will have that effect) and the heart gives the look a little bit of a girly edge.

Adorable Summer Clothes With Really Cute and Fruity Prints On Them!

Okay, I am now officially obsessed with clothes (and accessories!) that have cute, fruity prints on them, which is completely stating the obvious, since that is basically my title, but whatever. Think of cherry-printed white sundresses (I want one!) or polka dots and stripes-and lots of them. From Juicy Couture to J.Crew (and a bit of Kate Spade) here are my favorite items for Summer (I really can't wait!):

I swear that this Juicy Couture Tank Mini Dress has cherries on them!!! The only thing is that the picture doesn't really show them, and the cherries are orange, which is sort of wierd, like if they have orangosis or something caused by mis-use of fertilizers (or something). And even through all of that, I still think this dress is pretty cute in a fun, cheery (cherry and cheery haha) way. It is $138 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

If I ever happen to have a fashion collection (that would be so awesome! I would totally name it something cute but not cheesy...maybe Pookie?) I want my first collection to look like this J.Crew Egyptian-cotton printed sweater dress for $140. It has an arabian feel, but still looks clean-cut and summery. Besides, I am really into mini-dresses right now- but without leggings, please!

This J.Crew Printed Umbrella is such a chic way to ward of Spring and Summer showers! Of course, there is also the Juicy Couture Island Umbrella that is clear with islands on it, but it just isn't as chic looking-it actually looks cheap, but costs way more. Sometimes, umbrellas can look a bit dorky or boring, but with this umbrella, you'll look cuter! It costs $38.

This Kate Spade Cape Cod East West Heddy is just adorable! Never mind I have never been to Cape Cod or have any idea whatsoever what a "heddy" is, I just love the lobsters! It looks like just the right size for a brush and makeup (or whatever you like to put in your makeup bag) for beach trips and even school. I just really, really want it- but I doubt I am going to spend the $50 for an itsy-bitsy bag that practically nobody will see (I don't apply makeup in front of anybody except maybe lip gloss, it's a given rule), but I still adore it.

Hermés Hippo Locks: Need I Say More? Okay, Yes! How Very Random!

Okay, as you somehow might have gathered, this post is basically about these adorable little locks by Hermés. That I adore and want, like really, really bad. Anyways, don't you think that the idea to make these locks hippos are so creative and/or a bit wierd? And don't you think that the hippo that I pictured is just hilarious? I much prefer the silver-toned hippo- the gold one looks a bit too "Pimp My Ride-Meets-Juicy Couture" for me. This post is seeming quite a bit pointless, isn't it? Much classier, right? From Pimpin' in Juicy Couture to WASP East Coast adorable-ness, this was a much needed transformation! I wonder if they went to Extreme Makeover? (ALERT: This post has become completely pointless and utterly stupid with that last comment...and trust me, I did NOT, repeat NOT think it was funny).

Perfect Prom Dresses That Remind Me of Cake (An Absolute Must!)

Okay, I know I should have done a Prom post already but I was looking for the perfect dresses okay? Not really, but it is a great excuse, isn't it? The truth is, I was just really lazy (I'm actually yawning profoundly right at this moment). Prom is one of the best moments of your school years- NOT your life though, people that say that are just too tacky!- so why not enjoy it and look fabulous? Regarding the title, I really just love confection-like dresses as you might know if you read a post I did about desserts, and dresses that remind me of each one. I have never been one to really like supremely stiff, "elegant" dresses- they just aren't me. I ruffles, ruching, polka dots, bows, you name it...but just not together, please! Don't get me wrong, you can give me a slinky Giorgia Armani silk number any day, and I will wear it (and feel like a million smackeroonies, by the way). And I don't dress like a Southern belle or debutante! I'm just well, very, very, girly and love adorable clothes and of course, Betsey Johnson. Anyways, here are just a bunch of Prom dresses that at least, I, would wear- from Betsey Johnson. Hope You Absolutely It!:

Let us start off with the "acquired taste" Evening Sweet Dreams Strapless Dress. Some people will say "OMG! That dress is beyond ew...and believe me, I know fashion- I read Teen Vogue!" Now, of course, it is completely okay if you don't like this dress- not everybody is born with fasion sense. No, I'm just kidding about that one, I really am not in the mood to start a comment fight! Anyways, after a couple of sentences of writing with no meaning, I have come to the conclusion that this dress is adorable- down to the huge pink bow. It is Betsey Johnson (duh) and costs $400.

How cute, right? This dress is a dress I totally see myself wearing to Prom because, sorry, but long dresses are just definetely not my thing; at least at the moment! This dress has a really sweet bubble hem, and I know some of you evil lurking commenters will completely jab at me for posting a "so out" or "so Delia's" bubble hem dress but I just love 'em. Finally, the huge bow is probably my favorite part of dress (besides the peachy-pink color) and I usually hate sphagetti straps-but I love them here. It is Betsey Johnson (double-duh) and costs $315.

Haven't you noticed that all the dresses I've posted have adorable bows? I swear, I didn't do it on purpose...I just have an attraction to all things girly and cute! What? That is not my fault!!! The sweetness and innocence of this Evening Martini Dress by Betsey Johnson (for $315) is obvious- It will go great with all the new wispy-banged hairstyles that are so IN now, too! Do you know another thing all of the dresses I've posted will look great with? Here it is:

Love 'em, right? The great thing about this Betsey Johnson Long Pearl Necklace is the silk bow in the back to tie the necklace on...fabulous with any updo and strapless dress! It would be awesome to don a cute, conservative outfit that said all business (and was strapless) and then when you would turn around to have a huge, deliciously pink bow in the back! Who knew the mullet ("business in the front, a party in the back") and Betsey Johnson had so much in common? The pearl necklace costs $110.

Okay, is this dress cute or eww? I've gone over it with myself and I still can't decide!! Just the fact that it is called the Avril Lavigne dress makes it much, much worse. Anyways, comment to say your opinion!

M.A.C. Barbie Line: I Mean, Who Really Doesn't Want to Feel Like a Barbie For a Day?

Okay, I am just loving the new MAC (waaayyy too lazy to put a period after each letter) Barbie cosmetics line. I mean what a fun, unique idea for a highly respectable, super-cool makeup line to come out and do something like that? I don't know if in other places this happens, but when I go to my local MAC counter, there is usually a really punk girl with gorgeously made up eyes in electric blue with piercings all over her. Or a really made-up but natural looking guy. Anyways, I just expected the other lines MAC came out with way more, such as the Viva Glam line for fighting HIV/AIDS and that collection they have/had that was sort of mermaid-like. I really enjoy going through all the colors (the compacts and all makeup containers are, in the words of The Clique, "ah-dorable!) and seeing just how cute everything is. Well, here are my favorites of this makeup collection...I am quite obsessed with makeup aren't I?:

Barbie Loves M.A.C. Cosmetics Line:

As the #1 essential of the Barbie Loves MAC collection, the lipstick is long-lasting (It has Barbie cuteness, with MAC reliability) as well as adorable, and wouldn't you just love to just take out your Barbie Loves MAC cosmetics bag ($15, but sadly sold out on the internet as well as about 99% of the line-including this lipstick that costs $14) and look so glamorous taking out the much coveted (now that it's sold out!) lipstick and applying it? Then again, you should never apply lipstick in public, I read so in The Princess Diaries Volume 1! My favorite shade is definetely "Rocking Chick" which is described as a "frosted fuschia with blue pearl" (I can't put it as a picture here).

Ever since I saw a spread on bubble-gum pink to fuschia nails in In Touch or US Weekly (they are basically the same to me) I've been obsessed! I'm actually going to get a manicure tomorrow (yay) and I'm really thinking about requesting an in-between color. Anyways, even though I'm not sure if this color would look good on my skin tone (in other words make my fingers look stubby-I won't admit it!) I've seen it on other people and it is flattering! It costs $10 and (ssshhhh!) it isn't sold out! HURRY!

The MAC Barbie GlimmerShimmer is basically one of my favorite items of the line (besides the lipstick, of course...and the nail polish...okay, so maybe it isn't my favorite!) and looks so glamorous! Sometimes, or should I say usually, those "refining highlighters" don't work for me, and it ends up looking well, fake. Does it give me awesome alien-model esque cheekbones? No! Does it give me an instant face lift? Not that I really need one, but No! The GlimmerShimmer didn't give me either, but it did look very pearly against my skin and was really cute! I love the "Loves Pink" shade that is pictured, for $16.50. Guess what, anyways? Sold out, and I just noticed! You can always try Ebay, though.

Hi!!! Yes, I'm back and sorry for my random month hiatus with not even a single, insignificant warning but I just really needed time to get out of my writer's block (or blogger's block *tuh-maito, tuh-mato*) and I know it sounds really cheesy, but "regroup". I am just loving a bunch of new trends up for Fall including makeup accessories, and of course-clothes! Oh, and I am really, really in with Forever 21. And this 80's disco song that goes like "spin me like a record, goes round and round..." that I can't even start to recall the title of because I have so much on my mind to post! I seriously feel like all blogger's feel on their first days of posting-just giddy. The (As In "Dee" NOT "Duh") Best Fall Makeup Look

After going through what seemed like a trillion makeup photos for the Fall 2007 collections, one struck me in particular. Michael Kors? Too predictable. Proenza Schouler? Too Warhol. Anna Sui? Too Pre-Pop Warhol (whatever that means)! But then, in all of its complete glowy-ness comes Oscar de la Renta with just the best makeup look for any season, done by Pat McGrath. Of course, just to mention that Carolina Herrera's Fall 2007 makeup by Diane Kendal was a close 2nd. Now here is how to recreate it!

This Urban Decay (NOT Outfitters, gosh I always get confused!) Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in

"Baked" is just the perfect yellowish-gold to line the inner corners of your eyes. $18

This 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, also by Urban Decay in "Gumetal" is great to line both your upper and lower lids. Remeber: Get a Q-tip to smudge the lines and the gold and grey! $15

This eye shadow- yet again by Urban Decay, in "strip" (...of bacon, of course) has just enough silvery undertones to work. Use it in a concentrated form on the creases of your lids, and go lighter from there. $16

*Use about 3 coats of mascara (your choice, but I just love Benefit Cosmetics Badgal Lash Mascara $19) and concealer (also your choice) for your bags (no foundation or powder on the rest of your face, please!) and your eyes are done!

Nars Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls (one of the most sought after of the various shades) will definitely shine, without being too JLO! I personally love it, even though it is a pricey $23.

My Most Ramdomest Post Ever, In Celebration of My 1 Year Blogger Birthday!

Hi! First I would just like to say sorry for my lack of posting, it's just that the last two posts I've been creating erased before I could publish them, so I pretty much got frustrated and quit. How positive of me. Anyways, I'm super happy I've finally made it to my blogger birthday (even though I think it is a day before this, but ssshhhh! Now I sound like one of those obnoxious kids in my library that sshhh me every time I even whisper or make the slightest noise. Great.) even though it is pretty sad a lot of blogs I loved and read almost every week have faded out. On a much lighter note (First I sound like the obnoxious-library-kids, and now I sound like my local news reporter with the comb-over! Great-er.) It's also coincidentally my 75th post...cool. And sorry, but I'm not going to say who I sound like because three times is just annoying! I am really excited about this post (like you couldn't tell already) and... I Hope You It! It is...(drum-roll please) too-too-doo (that's a horn, not Carlos Mencia, by the way!):

My Absolute 's Now and Forever More!

Since I never really participated in that blogger game where you had to post 5 things about yourself, I'm pretty much going to do that now, but it will be about things I'm really adoring that are so now. Okay, well, here it is!:

Ever since I learned about this super hip brand from my uber-fabulous friend "anonymous" I've been just craving an item from there! In case you haven't heard yet, this Portuguese brand is all about either super-cuddly soft toys OR just-as-cuddly pillows that are not nearly as cute. Well, whatever. Anyways, I really would love one of the toys, or "stuffed creatures", they are sort of expensive for just being what they are. They cost 35 euros or about $47 (yes, I actually googled a currency converter for that). Here are my favorites:

Ms. Spinach and Ms. Oink are most definetely my favorites- I really think it is the cutesy pink that works for me! And, until April 1st, Ms. Oink is only 25 euros instead of 35 like Ms. Spinach is! Here are excerpts of each toy personality:

Ms. Spinach- "So cute you cannot believe your eyes. Dressed in lovely green houndstooth, with big bright-pink eyes, this girl is as yummy as a fresh raspberry spinach salad. This website was actually turned on to me by a friend, too (am I sounding more unoriginal by the second, or is it just me?) and I am currently actually trying to create one on/off while doing this post. It is so difficult! This website (on the link) lets you do like a collage/scrapbook/ slideshow of anything you want! Even though I feel like I'm having an anxiety attack when I can't position this or that just right, I oddly enough, just love it! I promise though, that when I actually can make a completed one, I will post a link on this blog. Pinkie Swear!

3. L'Occitane:

Ever since my mother started to buy the amazing vegetable scented soaps and creamy lotions from here, I've been addicted to this European store! My friends kid around with me about my shea butter balms and all but I seriously do NOT know how I would keep my lips from chapping without them. The really cute store comes in great packaging perfect for sweet gifts, too- if you have two left hands when it comes to wrapping like me. Oh, and I don't really have two left hands...it's a saying, I think. Try anything Gardenia scented too! Well, this is how the shea butter balm looks like (I highly recommend it!):

This balm costs $8.00, by the way...worth every penny, too!

4. Adorable, Quirky Supplies:

If you have no idea what I mean, I'll explain it to you: Basically, ladybug clips that are bookmarks, heart shaped post-its and stationary so cute that you just have to blurt out in your tiniest, whimpiest voice: "How cute!" or "Omigod how adorable!". Great places to find these things are Fred Flare, and sometimes random places like Borders (hence the ladybug magnetic bookmarks) and Target (sorry, no hence). Here are some things I definetely have my eye on for everyday supplies from Fred Flare:

These pencils come in a pack of ten and are erasable. Woo-hoo. Oh wait, something exciting...wait for it, wait for it, found it! (Okay how dorky was that) Each of these pencils come in a different gourmet scent like bubble gum, peppermint, and plenty of fruity, too! They cost $12, and even though I love them...wouldn't the scent get annoying? And what if you just had to use the brown but hate the root beer smell (AKA: Moi)? Would you have to pinch your nose? Little things that are important to think about before buying....

These mushroom stamps make you feel just like if you were in a cutesy cartoon like Winnie-the-Pooh, don't they? They look like the ones that little ladybugs use as umbrellas in cartoons, which just adds to the "I want that" appeal. One says "Bon Jour", and the other "Merci" which is French even though the makers are Japanese. Wierd. Anyways, they are $12 for both. No inkpad included!

5. Hearts and Love

Anything all lovey-dovey really is interesting to me now, even though stars used to be my favorite shape. Now, obviously, it's hearts! Love and peace also are tying into my "loves list" (love is under my Love List, haha). Ironically, I'm not even close to being a hippie. Anyways, hearts are just abnormally cute and adorable, and here are some things to crank up the love in your life:

This red heart paper-puncher makes me want to uncontrollably punch red construction paper into hearts, but when I think of it, I wouldn't know what to do with it all. Anyways, it is from Fred Flare and costs $3.99, which is quite a bargain.

This heart shaped measuring tape would look so cute just whipping it out of your purse and measuring something...your pick! As you know, I am definetely one for adorable-ness, and this measuring tape is full of it. It costs a pretty cheap $5...hey, it's better than those ugly yellow and black ones from Home Depot, right?

Swimsuit Season Here I Come!!!

Who doesn't just love Spring and Summer? The gorgeous white sand/clear water beaches...at least for people who live in an ocean state! Sorry Oklahomians!! And everybody knows that with beaches come bikinis which equals to= Swimsuit Season! But not everybody has to (or has the guts to) strut around in a bikini, so I'll mention atleast one-piece, as well as maybe a tankini...if, and only if I find a pretty one. From Juicy swimwear, to colorful Ralph Lauren bikinis, here are my faves for this season:

Aren't these just adorable? I completely love the tonal green and white stripes that look so Palm Beach with the contrasting light pink on the first one, and the hot pink and white are just to die for on the second one. They are just so cutesy, that they just might work! The bows are definetely a great touch for an otherwise average bikini. They are Juicy Couture and cost $66 for the tops (each, of course) and $70 for the bottoms (each...DUH!) at Bergdorf Goodman.

As most of you know by now (if you've ever read my blog) I love, love, adore mostly anything with a hint of preppy to it, such as a Lacoste polo or a Ralph Lauren ummm...anything! So this is why you might see that I'm in love with this swimsuit by who other than...(drum roll) Ralph Lauren!!! The blue shade that isn't quite navy nor blue makes it look great on mostly any skin tone, too. It is $60 for the top, and $45 for the bottom at Nordstrom.

I know this isn't my "usual" style at all, and at first glance I actually thought it was well, ugly. But when I just kept looking at it, it's really just adorable! The ruffly bottom is just the right amount of ruffly, and the top is just perfectly Betsey johnson with the cherries. Yes, this swimsuit is Betsey Johnson. Also, for those of you that are a bit too shy to don the cherry, you could always go for a regular red triangle/halter top to go with the adorable bottom. By the way, the top is $110 and the bottom is $90 at Nordstrom.

I told you I would find a gorgeous one-piece! And this Juicy Couture one really fits the bill. I mean it even has an equation: Adorable Marilyn style + slimming mini polka dots + super-slenderizing ruching detail at waist + just plain cute bow= perfect bathing suit!!! I really am in love, as you might notice, so not everybody has to work on that bikini body now until Summer, this one has got you covered (literally!).

Mod: OUT! Futuristic: IN!

Hi! As you can sort of guess from my somewhat ditzy-sounding title, I am completely done warming up to Mod, and so loving anything futuristic! Many people consider the two to be almost like the same thing, but the two are completely different. Mod is much more short dresses, Go-Go white pleather boots, matching eyeliner, etc. while Futuristic is space-age, metallic, and clear lucite, etc. For example, the enameled plate necklaces and bracelets seen in the Fall 2007 Chanel fashion show were futuristic, NOT mod! Talking about mod, when will Sienna Miller's much-talked about movie, Factory Girl, come out? Oh well. It's not like I really care much anyway! Here are some gaw-geous futuristic pieces I've been eyeing...and yes, I include those awesome/tacky American Apparel metallic tights everyone has put on their blog (I can't break tradition, can I?):

Futuristic Stuff (Very original, I know):

Naturally, let me start off with the infamous tights. Or leggings. What is the difference between leggings and tights anyways? I sort of see this on a tacky pro wrestler called "The Crusher" or something or other who thinks that people don't know that the WWE is like a huge fake show. No offense to those who like WWE or anything, and I really apologize to those who didn't know about this awful "secret-y" truth. Actually, no I don't, it's about time you found out. I am just so off subject, it's actually funny! Anyways, I really think these tights are better suited for"The Crusher" than a normal person, but they were a fun piece to talk about anyway. They are lamé silver and cost $36, by the way.

These metallic Converse low-tops are just awesome. Oddly enough, they sell these at Gap, and I didn't even know until a little bit ago that they even selled any type of sneaker at Gap. They also come in a goldish-champagne color, but these are much better for the Spring and Summer months, the gold for Fall and Winter. I've never even owned any Converse before, but I think these sneakers would be a great way to embrace the Futuristic trend in a muted way. In case you haven't noticed, I'll take classic/prep rather than thrifty/bohemian any day. Maybe because I am classic/prep. Yeah, I guess that's pretty much it.

These adorable Alexis Bittar skinny lucite bangles are just one of the best finds i've seen in along time...they are just so wearable for everything. Pile on the candy-colored ones for a funky, disco affect. Put only the silver and blue and you have futuristic! They're great for school/work, parties, going-out about town...the only thing is they are $50 each...which would mean maybe I'll just leave the blue and "candy-colored" ones behind and just take the silver for futuristic. Sounds better.

Happy 68th Anniversary Post! Squeal

Do you my new banner or what? And please do not say "or what" in response...that joke is older than yo' momma! (Okay, there is me trying to make a funny joke while making fun of a joke...obviously that was a failed attempt!) Anyways, I am sort of really loving a lot of things, and here are my top 3 (I'm not really hating anything right now, except the hoardes of girls trying to be in "The Clique" movie...):

LOVES:

I was completely adoring Penelope Cruz's Atelier Versace gown the minute I saw it, the whole look was just so right! She could defienetly pull this off, not only because of her beauty, but because she kept everything so simple and chic on the top (no huge Kiera Knightley Bulgari necklaces here) except gorgeous diamond studs. The color was great, and it sort of reminded me of Charlize Theron's powder blue Dior from awhile back- but not in a copy-cat way!

GO Divorced Reese!! Woo-hoo! Okay, is it just me, or is Reese Witherspoon better-then-ever after that divorce? And where is Ryan Phillipe? Ha-ha! I think we can all see who "won" after the divorce. The haircut looks awesome on her, and this dress and the past "post-divorce" dress (yellow adorable one) were specatacular as well.

Lastly, I am adoring short, side-banged hair, like I just got cut...WOO-HOO! For the past couple of years, I have had one length, long, average-jane hair...I really needeed a change! So now, it is just past my shoulders with a super cute side-bang. The only con is I have to straighten it, since I have wavy-ish hair, but since it's short, it just takes about 20 minutes which is a sacrifice I am so willing to do!

To Juicy or To Not Juicy? Or Maybe Tiffany's?

I haven't really posted a lot lately for one main reason: I'm just not getting inspiration...and I'm not the type to publish crap-ola!

But anyways, I am just really adoring Juicy Couture lately, from last post's earrings to now the new sterling silver collection bracelet. This Signature Puffed Heart Padlock Bracelet for $175 is great and looks really elegant, but I found that the signature "Return to Tiffany's" bracelet in silver is just ten dollars more for $185 here. And I sort of prefer the elegance of Tiffany's, because it sort of makes the Juicy stuff look garish and trendy, not classic and refined at all. The earrings from last post were adorable, though, even though WARNING: they are small...but at least I like my earrings to be small.

Another Juicy Couture item I am loving is the Juicy "Rose" flats for $150 shown here:

Aren't they great? Or maybe I'm just in a great mood because I'm listening to my absolute favorite song "Dancing With Myself" from Billy Idol that I know all the words to. By the way, I'm listening to it in the movie Flushed Away- yes I'm watching Flushed Away. And, yes they feature "Dancing With Myself". Anyways, I just really love these shoes because they look so comfy and fun with jeans, dresses, anything! But remember to order a size up- I tried them on in the mall, and the size 8 fit instead of my usual size 7. Oh, and I just adore them in black.

Outfit To Be Wearing While Groovin' To "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera

Okay, I know that nowadays every post I've done starts with an "I beg for forgiveness" letter, but I'm busy! I mean with homework, friends (It's not my fault they are entertaining!) and family (ditto!) it is hard to post. But, since I love it I keep on going...does this sound like a total sob story? It probably does, so I'll just start with the post now. See those gaw-geous earrings on the left? (or is it right? I always get confused!!! If I would get a tattoo [which sorry, but I won't] I would tattoo an R for right and a L for left on each corresponding hand...tacky, but I'll always remember!) The earrings are (obviously) Juicy Couture, the ones I just bought in that same exact color. These are silver with gold details, but it also comes in gold with silver deatils which is pretty, but I prefer the silver. They just look so chic, and I seriously need new studs that aren't my pearls. I mean I have my trusty fake diamond studs and everything, but I don't know...the pearls are just so much prettier. By the way, I'm really thinking about buying myself a pearl necklace...I'm just not sure wether I want it flapper-20's-style-long, or if I prefer it to be short and rounder. FYI: That will probably be my next post. Anyways, I'm going for a preppy, very chic look here, so I would wear these earrings with the following items:

This super-adorable Lacoste Polo Dress for $140 would look so Palm Beach Country Club meets LA downtown comfort with the earrings and some silvery-goldish ballet flats and a cute handbag. You could always go all LC from The Hills and wear short-strand rounded pearls with it, too.

Confections + Dresses = LOVE

Okay, my last post inspired me to do a post all about my favorite confections/sweets/baked things and what dresses of the season they remind me of. From Southern Red Velvet cake, to butterscotch candies...you can notice I have quite a bit of a sweet tooth! Anyway, here it is- starting with Red Velvet Cakes!

This Red Velvet Cake from Billy's Bakery is "A Southern delicacy. A moist, deep red cake flavored with a hint of cocoa..." and looks completely delicious! I adore the icing, too.

This adorable dress looks great on anybody in just the right way, it flatters your hips and thighs, and emphasizes your waist as well. The color is just as rich and satin-y as Red Velvet cake, and it even looks better on! Dumb joke, I know. The best part is you can get this As U Wish Taffeta Party Dress for only $68 at Nordstrom-so now you can buy your red velvet cake and eat it too! (better joke). You can finally literally, paint the town red! (Best joke)

Icebox Cake!

This Ice Box cake, courtesy of Billy's Bakery, combines "sweetened whipped cream, accents of vanilla, and layers of crispy chocolate wafers..."which sounds pretty good, if you ask me! Ivory and Ebony never sounded so yummy!

The simplicity of this dress added with the unexpected details like the embroidery really make this a classic in anybody's wardrobe. You can dress it down with flats and cute, small jewelry to go to the mall or a daytime restaurant, or you can pair it with fun wedges or heels with a cute clutch to go out on thee town at night. This dress captures the black/white appeal of the cake, and the sweetness, too!

Cupcakes!

These by Billy's Bakery are my number one recommendation for anyone planning on going to the Big Apple, NYC. They are available in yellow daisy or chocolate cake with your choice of vanilla or chocolate buttercream, or you can go for something unexpected like Red Velvet or Coconut.

I chose this dress to represent the cupcakes because of it's fun, sweet, colorful attitude that you see in plain view. I love how red-orange and navy blue look together, and with the added white and polka dots? I really need this dress! Plus, the A-line silhouette makes the dress look classic and cute instead of too funky or wierd.

Butterscotch Candy!

Brach's Butterscotch Candies satisfy any sweet tooth, when you don't have time to bake or buy cupcakes or brownies, which is usually the case. They taste buttery, but with a touch of honey, so they taste sweet but not too sweet. Another great brand for Butterscotch candies is Werther's.

This ethereal dress looks so flowy, adorable and confection-y, I really want this dress!!! The satin band and lightweight mesh skirt give it such a sweet appeal, that I would just wear it with everything! The problem is, I already want these super cute Gap flats, and these adorable Keds slip-ons, as well as a button-down shirt, and lastly, this new bathing suit I reecntly saw in a boutique. Guess I have to wait...anyway, it's Necessary Objects and is $58.

SS07 Marchesa...Can You Say "The Most Adorable Collection Ever Created in the History of the History of the World? (Not 5 Times Fast, But...)

Okay, well, I'm back...I feel sort of guilty for not posting in awhile, but homework has seriously been overloading/cramping my style and time, and to top it all off (not exactly icing on a cake, though) my internet didn't work for like a week. So, anyways, now that my apology message is done...let's PARTY! No, just kidding, but I can say that I have the Lucky Brand bracelet after seriously begging and pleading for it with my friends; at the end, he finally gave in. Marchesa's Spring 2007 Collection has been out for awhile, but it is not until now that I seriously cannot live without it in my mind. The rosettes? Gorgeous. The ruffles? Adorable! Here are the best outfits I saw on the runway:

These two dresses are seriously creeping me out: they answered my dress dreams perfectly. I adore confection-y ruffled dresses that are really just sweet. Marchesa just played it off so well, that I just don't get tired of just looking at them. By the way, the rosettes in the whole collection were an awesome touch even if they did copy poor Angela from Project Runway.

I love these two strapless detailed dresses for the angelic/not-so-angelic vibes they give off. The detailing on them are just not comparable to other dresses, and the lengths are just right without going overboard...Britney style. Is it just me or is the first model suffering from candy-cane striped (fake-tan) legs? And also, doesn't the second dress remind you of the winning dress in the Project Runway episode of the figure skater? The designer was that woman that had a wierd alter ego...yeah.

I need that gown for prom. Maybe by the time I do get to go to prom, it will be available at Cantury 21 for like a 1/4 of the price...maybe. Century 21: A store in NYC that sells designer stuff that either didn't make it to the racks (de-fected!) or was too ugly it didn't sell in stores- but, sometimes you can find cute things...anyways, I doubt it. This dress has one of the most gorgeous colors I've ever laid my eyes on, and the chiffon looks so elegant. Now I've wrote too much for the first dress, so all I'm going to say about the jeweled black strapless (which I completely adore) is...(horn toots, drum rolls) ditto.

LOVES

The highly desirable Lucky Brand bracelet is adorable, in a bohemian/hippie sort of way. I'm really dying for one, and I'm proceeding to go to the mall to buy myself one tomorrow. Also, I love the message that the bracelet sends, everyone should live in love.

I am really loving anything Joie, from the brand's sweats, cargos, cardigans, I just love everything. Everything can be worn to the mall or restaurant (even the sweats, I swear) or to even a SAT. FYI: Check sales in ShopBop and Saks, for best Joie steals.

Haven't you noticed that this is the 2nd "hippie" thing I've put on my Love list? I swear I'm not a hippie- not that there is anything wrong with it...just, I'm saying I definetely DON'T have dreadlocks...okay? Anyways, this is the much publicized Rudraksh Mala Meditation Beads that Nicole Richie wears like EVERY day.

This awesome book is the guide to any girl's life, with excerpts from Heidi to Manolo, this is a must-have for me!!! Even the cover looks so cute and it reminds me of cake...pink frosted buttermilk, actually.

Golden Globes: The Hot...and the Not!!!

The Golden Globes this year were full of surprises, from America Ferrera's (from Ugly Betty) tear-wrenching Golden Globe winning speech that got basically the whole audience to cry, to Prince's Golden Globe win where Justin Timberlake made fun of Prince's diminutive height by crouching down. Of course, the fashions were for the most part, spectacular, except for some that were just plain old bad. Here's the Bad:

The minute I saw this dress, I thought of the costumes of that Disney Channel movie about the 3 witches that I always forget the name of. Anyway, even though I admire Cate Blanchett so much as an actress, I've never been fond of her fashion choices. That yellow dress with the burgundy sash she wore last year? The Alexander McQueen featured here? Really, it looks all wrong, especially because of the tiered hem, and not to mention her age. I do though, like that she takes risks in fashion and has fun with it...unlike the next actress:

The fit of this dress was not good at all, basically because Teri Hatcher is just too skinny and has basically just lost her charm. This dress is an example she is trying to look younger every day...

Ummm...can you say ewww? FYI Beyonce, you were in Dreamgirls, not Showgirls!!! Too much sequins, gold, and skin, this dress is the perfect example of too much of a good thing gone horribly wrong. The pose didn't help either. The dress was Elie Saab, which featured some gorgeous dresses, so why did she have to pick this one?

Do I have to say anything? Nicolette, wer'e not in Kansas anymore; so you better take off that Southern Belle coming-out party dress before...before...I don't know, something bad happens!

The Good:

This dress is probably the most controversial dress of the Golden Globes, so of course I have a strong opinion on it! I actually love it, the Valentino dress' black satin sash across the puffs of tulle, the red lips...Cameron Diaz doesn't need Justin, her fashion choices are just fine without him!

This dress is definitely a winner for me, in the sense that she took a break from Juicy Sweatsuits, impossibly large fur pieces, and her "Jenny from the Block" look; and opted for a much more demure and classic-elegance look from the "It" brand Marchesa.

This Ungaro dress was to die for on Eva Longoria, the purple/navy sheath complimented her skin tone and makeup perfectly too. She kept her updo from looking too prom-queen by leaving it loose, but not in a gelled curls hanging out of your bangs way, either.

Sienna Miller went for one of the best dresses of the night that I just adore SO much...so why did she have to ruin the look with that hair? I really just feel like putting the little censored squares over her head because without her hair, everything is just so perfect! This Marchesa dress had the "look" of the night and the upcoming season...Grecian (like I said it was coming again in my 50th post!) and a hint of Roman Empire, too. I'll call it Rocian!

I'm Back, Back, Back...(In Yellow, Not in Black)

HI!!! I'm sorry for being out of the whole "blogger" thing for so long, but I'm back and better than ever! Even though I had no time whatsoever to "blog" (I've been moving and they took away my computer in favor of the boxes), I did hit some Winter sales- and let's just say I didn't come out empty handed. I bought from the Saks sale, a cute olive Joie cardigan with big buttons, and some cute cargos in olive from the same brand for a very good price. I moved on to Abercrombie and bought a white tank top with navy sailor stripes running across it, and a basic white long-sleeved henley, for very good prices, too. I was also about to buy my brother a super-cool bomber khaki jacket that I would proceed to steal from him every chance I got, but there was only like XXL and that was way to big. Anyway, here are some awesome things I am eyeing but will probably never get the chance to buy from Winter sales:

I know it looks wierd and all, but it is cute. It obviously does not apply to Spring at all, but for next Winter or the remaining of this Winter it's adorable. And if you still don't think this La Rok vest for $167 would do you any good, take a look at this one:

Feel better about the vest? Thought so. (No offense to those who actually like it, I guess I should make peace with you eskimos. No just kidding! Haha!)

For some wierd reason I was sort of drawn to this flowy top. I guess because I LOVE comfortable but fashionable things, and this jersey material looks very comfy. The silky band at the bust looks very fashionable and trendy (but not too trendy) as well. It's the Akiko Pleated Tunic for $73.

This Ella Moss tube dress is super functional because of its neutral color, and the fact you can wear it as a skirt, too! I love empire waisted dresses like these; and the eyelet at the bottom looks adorable. It's $87 from Shop Bop while the others above are from Girl Shop ( I know, confusing...or maybe I'm just a dork and nobody else finds it confusing...Gawd, how embarassing!)

I adore this Rachel Leigh wings necklace for $101.50 from Shop Bop (yes...haha) because I feel that it just blends rock n' roll (did I really just say that?) and femininity really well in a coast-to-coast way. In other words, I can imagine it on Mary-Kate as well as Jessica Simpson...NY to LA.

Upcoming: Spring 2007-Ready To Wear (and Ready to Party, I just HAD to add that)

Yes, I know, we're still in January and I'm already saying the new upcoming Spring trends. It's not MY fault, why do designers send their clothes off on the runway so early? That was rhetorical, by the way. Think of it this way...more time to shop! And who disagrees with that? But anyway, all of the sought-after looks I'm featuring are shown in adorable mini-dresses that just scream Spring (!). Well, there isn't really much more to say so here are my favorites of Spring in mini-dress form:

Fringe is definetely "in" again, bordering everything from flowy minidresses to metallic clutches and not looking "western-cowboy supposed ahem chic" at all! Another big upcoming trend for Spring is big outrageously obnoxious amounts of cobalt blue in everyone's wardrobe. Now that "outrageously obnoxious" came to mind, what do you people really think of Uggs? I know, not exactly a future Times article or anything, but I just really want to know. Anyway, moving on.

Yellow definitely does not have to be mellow on the runway! Both Lanvin and Malandrino chose to include extravagant stand-out yellow dresses as well as many, many other designers. From highlighter, acid yellow tones to mellower, creamier yellows; yellow really is the IT color of the season-it's the new black! No, I mean white, no grey, I mean...well whatever, you get it- it's basically the new neutral color for Spring.

I have always, since ever, adored sequins- for my 5th grade banquet I even saved up to buy one of those BCBG sequined silver boleros...they were 'in' okay? But anyway, for dresses, this spring is all about gold sequins; flashy and maybe a bit too Las Vegas showgirl but hey, who cares? Fashion is a risk, like Courtney Love is an Oop's. Anyway, the dresses are by Elie Saab, and are adorable. Say what you want about Sienna Miller (I love her) but she did start this trend in the first place!

The shirtdress, it's baaacck! For some reason, though, it looks different. I was going to say it looks more defined, like in Karl Lagerfeld and more tailored; but then Stella McCartney goes and creates this gorgeously loose no ironing or tailoring necessary shirtdress. I guess this Spring shirtdresses are left to the extremes-Stella, all the way to Karl.

Tiffany & Co.- Frank Gehry Collection

So, how did everybody spend their Christmas? I spent it very good, actually- great food, family, gifts (recieved and gived), friends...I loved it! Well, my inspiration for this post is the gorgeous gift my father gave my mother, a Tiffany & Co. by Frank Gehry "Torque" (meaning: strength) ring. It really is fabulous in white gold, the one my mother got, because it blends femininity and masculinity (is that a word?) very, very well. This is the exact ring:

Don't you just love it? Here are some other ones I find are just gorgeous in this collection (by the way, my mom just got the first one-not all of the ones you are about to see!):

This is also a Torque ring, but it is actually made with Cachalong Opal. This is definetely more Mod 60's/Andy Warhol than the others, which actually makes it more young feeling even though it will probably go out of style faster, too.

This ring looks more femenine than the Torque, being the Equus ring. The added brilliant-cut diamond looks spectacular with the flowy shape of the ring, too.

This folded brushed silver pendant looks so chic and modern, it is just so opposite of the whole "Tiffany's" thing you would expect, basically very unexpected.

This brooch is so gorgeous that it's sort of hard to put it into words. Like, basically, I adore that it's actually a brooch when I thought it was like some unusual ice cream spoon. I also love that it has no tacky huge canary diamonds on it like other brooches do. It's simple and classic, very refined.

This bangle is one of the most fabulous I've seen in this collection. It obviously has the shape of the Torque, but in a bangle-size. It is made in brown banded agate, which brings up another thing I love about the collection, the materials used are just so exotic! Cachalong opal, brown-banded agate, nephrite green jade, onyx and acacia wood are just a few out of the many used in the whole collection. The collection is ginormous, by the way!

This post is basically because I've just been drawn to a lot of preppy clothes lately. And I don't mean "Abercrombie" preppy, no, things like Lacoste and Ralph Lauren- the REAL preppy. I'm loving cable-knit v-necks, striped button downs, and RL and Lacoste polos. Also, I'm quite scared my pearl earrings are going to be permanently attached to my earlobes- I'm wearing them so much! Keep in mind that these prep pieces are for the most part, classic and staples in anyone's closet- which means a lot of the times you have to pay the price for that. But most items are things you'll wear again and again, so the prices aren't really bad at all. Here are some pieces I've been eyeing that would look great with the "preppy" look:

I love the classic and cool at the same time look of all Lacoste polos. Their fit is excellent and the quality of the material is quite good too. Besides that they are, well, ADORABLE in every way. I own a pink one and a lime one, but I really, really want a black one! I already have a navy RL Polo one, so I either want a black polo from RL Polo or Lacoste. This one would be great (hint, hint gift-givers): It's the Lacoste Stretch Pique Polo for $75

You can literaly never go wrong with a great bag, a white RL oxford, flats and (flattering, please!!!) dark jeans. A great ribbon belt like the one shown would also look fabulous. This oxford in particular has a great feminine fit without being revealing at all, it would look fabulous also with the sleeves rolled and scrunched up to show a cute charm bracelet...I'm thinking too much, again! It is the RL Blue Label Skinny Fit Oxford for $69.50.

This Tiffany and Co. bracelet is the perfect charm bracelet I was talking about! It's cute and girly, but it still maintains elegance, it just exudes classiness! Besides, who doesn't want to open a robin egg's blue box with white or red satin ribbon and find this bracelet? It is $450- just remember: investment, investment, investment!

I adore these Pumas! I seriously am considering buying them...my mom is who actually showed them to me (she has an awesome eye for stuff like this) and at first I was like they're Ok, but then I kept seeing them, and now I love them! The color is great with everything, and I would wear them to school so much because they match with my uniform. Yes I have a uniform. Anyways, I l adore them...the price is great too at $39.95!

I'm always on the lookout for an adorable makeup case and this Kate Spade one really fits the bill. I love the colors and the fact that it has peacocks-yes peacocks- on it, but not in an obvious "I Peacocks" way. The bad thing is that it costs $50 which is quite a lot for a makeup case which makes me just want to stick with wanting a Lesportsac one for a much, much cheaper price.

Bring out the racquet and cute little white pleated tennis skirts because these are seriously too cute to not use! I know it is like not elegant to rattle around in the bushes over a lost tennis ball, but if it were one of these, I wouldn't give it a second thought! Also, they go for a great cause ,breast cancer, so nobody feels guilty! Not the salepeople, not the customer, not even...OK, you get the picture. They're Ralph Lauren Pink Pony for $10.

Christmas Party Dressing: Jeans, or Not to Jeans?

Okay, I basically got inspired to do this post when my mom asked me what I was going to wear for the 24th at my grandma's house at her party. What an original story. Well anyway, since it's family and friends, I basically can either wear jeans with a cute top, or skinny pants (maybe velvet? No, I think it's gonna' be curduroy!) with like a sweater and flats. Usually, for Christmas parties, I like to wear Abercrombie knits and stuff like that. I know, in the "fashion blogging" thing, saying "Abercrombie is cool" is like a crime. Everyone just has to post things from Urban Outfitters for cheaper stuff. Guess what? I think it actually has cute stuff, AND I like Urban Outfitters, too! Beat That!, No just kidding! This would be an outfit I would wear:

I definetely like the cozy feel of this sweater and the color that's in between khaki and grey is really cute, too. The velvet lining at the hood and buttons actually makes it look luxurious, and for Christmas, it's perfect. The sweater looks really warm, and if you buy it in a larger size, wear it with layers underneath if you live in cold weather. If not, wear it with like a long-sleeved tee or tank top. It's the Beth sweater for $89.50

These skinny curdoroy pants look really cute with practically any neutral sweater you want to pair them with; cream, tan, grey, NOT black! (especially the one above) I love that they're skinny, but not horribly skinny that not every girl can wear them. I have this scarf belt from Express that has hints of gold that would look perfect with this. They're from Abercrombie for about $40 (from the kids section- A&F didn't have skinny curdoroys, these pants are just so you can see the "look".
* Wear this look with really cute flats to walk around the party comfortably and your choice of accessories. Be careful not to look matchy-matchy!!!

Another look for business parties or more formal Christmas events could be dressier trouser pants and a silky top. You could even try a little cocktail dress with a skrunken jacket if you want to look more hip:

This Urban Outfitters Lux Batik baby doll top has a great print that doesn't look tacky or "festive" but looks super cool and hip, especially when worn with these trousers and some sexy heels. It's like office hip-hippie- don't laugh- I'm not the best name maker, okay? It's $58.

These Alice+Olivia trousers actually make pleats work. I can't believe it! Ever since I tried those horrendous pleated high-waisted navy blue school pants at the uniform store in 6th grade (I seriously looked like a butchy police officer), pleats and me just don't mix! They're definetely an investment that you'll wear forever at $275.

This is officially my "splurge" look! (Do I sound all Atoosa from Seventeen?) But before I say anything, doesn't the blond model look exactly like Cameron Diaz? Seriously! Anyway, I can't afford this look, and you probably can't either so just look at the "look" and try to copy it from other affordable stores. The jacket is shrunken, which is the new look of the season, (the brand id called Development) and the silkiness makes it look really expensive. Guess what? It is really expensive at about $500.

This dress shows the new look of the year that just everyone has worn..animal prints! These animal prints on the dress are subtler, and they're zebra! I love the feel of a femine flowy dress with a more grungy but still luxe jacket. You can wear this dress with anything, too, which is great. The dress is $425, yeah, I know!

Hi! Well, the holiday season is obviously here, so what better way to celebrate it with a little
treat for yourself? Rest assured, though, I have the perfect little ahem, "stocking stuffer" (whatever happened to the good ol' candy canes?) for every girl who is going to read this post! Juicy Couture really did it right this time, with this adorable charm bracelet! It's the Limited Edition (yes, limited edition- and for real- I learned my lesson when I thought that was just a marketing strategy in McDonalds when they had this yummy wrap- with real chicken-and they actually took it away! I don't know when I was sadder: when the Pitt's were in the pits, or that little epidemic!) Winter Charm Bracelet. Every little cute charm just makes you want to string out the popcorn and garland and just hang it all around your "Christmas area". I also adore the lobster clasp, so I can close it anywhere I want on the bracelet (I have the smallest wrist ever...people actually say I should go one the Guiness World Book of Records for pete's sake!) Okay, NO, don't get me wrong; that was a joke- my wrist is NOT freakishly small- it's just tinier than other wrists! How glamorous, "blog writer who goes by the name of Geisha, with freakishly and disgustingly small wrists!" sarchasm! Anyways, I just wanted to say I adore this bracelet...I am sooo asking for it for Christmas!!!!

Christmas List Anyone?

Okay it is that time of year again! Who doesn't love Christmas (or Hannukah, Kwanzaa, etc.)? Everybody is cheerful, the decorations, the ahem-PRESENTS! But you can't get presents without a Christmas List, right? In my Christmas lists, I always want staples I just know I'm going to use again and again and again. Such as really cute pj's, a watch, etc. Here are some things I would just adore!!:

Am I getting annoying with this watch? At least I finally decided...this is the one! (Do I sound like I'm talking about a guy on a TV show? "He's the one" is just sort of stupid) The Harajuku Lovers one is uber-cute, but still, it wouldn't look good with everything- and I need a neutral watch! This is definetely on the top of my list!!! $150, by the way.

Aren't these MICHAEL by Michael Kors "Saratoga" ballet flats just adorable? I would just wear them with everything- like maybe a gray cozy long wool cardigan and dark skinny jeans with a cute belt to tie the look together...now I really want them! They're $108.95 which actually is pretty good considering how much I'd wear them.

I just love the smell of gingerbread, so this Philosiphy 'the gingerbread man' suitcase is just what I need! The set comes complete with a shower gel and bubble bath, a shimmer body "souffle" or whatever (I prefer to say lotion), and a delicious gingerbread-scented glossy lip shine! It costs $38.

These Abercrombie pajama bottoms are just so Christmas-y and cute...they look perfect for those early morning pictures of you opening your presents-even if your hair does look frizzy and your skin is dried up because of the chilly winter air. Plus, they look really comfy and matchable with tanks and t-shirts. They're from the kid's one (I'm short, so they fit me better) and $29.50.

Who doesn't want an Apple Mac-book for Christmas? I would love the white sleek one for $1099, it just looks so clean and new...I love it!!! Also, now PC's look boring in the commercials, I'm seriously getting so sick of those Dell commercials and the "Pentium dual processors" they mention 5,000 times in the commercials...what are those, anyway?

Watch Me! Watches

I am really dying for a watch! The last watch I had was a black leather and silver Fossil, and before that, a long line of huge plastic Baby-G's. Not my most fashionable stage! But anyway, I am really loving modern watches (I've never been into pearl/gold delicate watches) in patent leather, the colors being all white or with a little silver, or being very colorful like the new Swatch designs a lot of my friends have. I'm in between these two brands of watches...here they are:

First Up: I posted these watches by Marc by Marc Jacobs a while back and have been coveting the white one ever since! I seriously LOVE the white patent modern feel of it...and it's $50 cheaper than when I posted it first at $150! On the other hand, the necklace is uber-cute, but I don't imagine myself buying it- by the way, it's $125.

These adorable watches are by Harajuku Lovers- Gwen Stefani...I LOVE THEM!!! Now I hate this, because I hate choices- I, like everyone else, just rather have it all! No just kidding, but really, I'm in a huge slump! Instead of putting "Oh, like your blog-watches are cute" put which out of all the Harajuku Lovers watches and the white Marc by Marc watch you like the best! I mean, these are just my favorites...go to the website or Nordstrom (search: harajuku lovers, and then refine your search to only watches, and look- I don't like the first 6, the last 7 I adore!) and see the rest...chances are, either you'll be drooling with happiness, or hating em'- acquired taste is what it's called. Very Gwen!!!!

LOVE-ing Sweater Dresses...

Okay, I'm sorry for my under zero postage...I've been stumped with mounds of homework-usually science- ew! Sorry for you science lovers out there but science is just NOT my style! Anyway, I just went on a trip to NYC for my birthday and saw the Phantom of the Opera (the best Broadway play ever, in my opinion) and oh yeah, I so did cry- but not as much as the guy sitting next to me! Now that was comedy! I bought the CD, I'm a dork, I know. I saw the Rockefeller, Radio City Music Hall, and uh-huh (yes, I still say uh-huh)- lots of tons of shopping! My favorite of all the stores was definetely Anthropoligie, my new all time favorite store! As soon as my mom and me went in, it was at first sight! Yes, I know I did love the Soho shops, street corner vendors- where I scored fabulous $5 intricately woven earrings by the way!- and my C-list celebrity sightings (I saw Sean Lennon, John Lennon's son and Paris Hilton's aunt from her mom's side, the one that appeared in the Simple Life episode with the big hispanic family), but nothing beat that store! I loved the variety of little French labels, modern accessories, gorgeous house wares- everything to for!! Before I go into my favorite thing that I bought, can you believe Leith's blog "You Know You Love It" is not going to keep going? I am seriously so shocked in a really bad way- it's one of those blogs I seriously check everyday! But in happier news, here is the fabulous thing I bought!:

I adore (yes, I put adore, not the little cutesy heart I put- lets just say it was too much of a good thing for this post) this dress/sweater! It is $98, by the way. Okay, the picture here really does not do this dress justice- reminds me of my 2nd grade school picture- it wasn't my fault I had P.E. before the photos! I was just sooo much cuter than that!, But anyways, off subject! For the play, I wore this dress with black leggings, black leather bow-tie flats, a plaid headband with navy in it, and a plaid belt with my hair straightened...it looked quite adorable. I don't mean to toot my own horn but...TOOT-TOOT! For the flight back home, I wore this dress with the same headband and leggings, but no belt and these super adorable flat boots- I may have even liked the second outfit more, it just looked so NYC eclectic! The boots were tall and chestnut brown suede with a foldover at the tops of the boots in dark brown leather...they are cute!

Two more things I'm loving from Anthropoligie for Fall and Winter:

This cardigan is super great and cute for layering or just putting an adorable camisole or tee underneath when it isn't that cold. I just love that print, but I forgot what it's called...hmmm...Anyway, it's the Jabberwocky Cardigan for $148, pricey but nicey! No idea where that came from. Pay no attention to it whatsoever.

The reason I picked this dress was to show a huge upcoming trend I've been seeing- you heard it HERE first, to set the record straight: voluminous skirts on dresses with what it seems as a straight or pencil skirt underneath. It makes thunder thighs and hips seem non-existent because it just proportions everything out...who doesn't love that? It is the Jazz Club Dress for $168- no wierd stuff coming out this time!

Slip on the Sneaks' and Lets Get Rollin'!!!

Okay, first of all, sorry for my lack of postage...I have had a bunch of homework (uughh...SCIENCE!), party planning, and a bunch of other things that I won't go into right now. But: finally I'm back, and better then ever (hahaha- yeah I laugh at my own jokes) with a post of drum roll please- slip on sneakers! They are going to be the new Uggs I swear...I've seen them everywhere...and now is your chance to pick some up before they are all over the racks of Sears and L2D (otherwise known as Limited Too) and just everyone is wearing them! They just seem so cool in like a surfer way with light washed ripped super-flared jeans and layered cap-sleeves and tank tops. Top it off with one of those butchy surfer hats if you want to go all Roxy on everyone, too. Okay here are some of my picks from the stores:
I adore these Rebels Patti slip-ons for their cuteness and their versatility. So much that I bought a pair myself the other day in black! And I swear I've gotten like 6 compliments on them so far...and from fashionable people- not chongas! The shoes also show another upcoming trend: stars! Stars are all over the place, which is good, because I stars!They are $59.95 even though I got them on sale for about $15!

Even though I don't have these, they are just too cute! Don't get me wrong with what I said, I think Roxy is adorable...especially these Roxy silver flats my grandma bought, em'! They are the Pepperdine shoes for $34. I also love them with the sherpa lining for some reason too (the new Uggs...) for $45:

I am seriously hearting the new look of Keds! Everything seems so cute and original in a way, which is kind of true because each destroyed sneaker is destroyed differently. I love how the two colors look together- plus they look so comfy! They are the Champion Lug Slip On Destroyed sneakers for $45.95.

P.S.- If you want to be truly, truly, truly original; go for some white plain canvas slip on Keds and stop at your local Michaels or Joann Fabrics, or even Wal-Mart. Buy sequins, glitter, patches, everything you think is cute and embelish your sneakers! If you do them cute, everyone will ask you where you got them and you can simply say "I decorated them" or for a more coy look, "I got them at a special store" or even the ever trustworthy "Oh, I don't remember-just at some store there".

Happy 50th Anniversary!!!

This post commemorates my 50th! Woo-hoo! I've decided to make this post a double-on account of the occasion. The first part is going to be about a girl in need of the perfect petite bat-mitzvah event dress-no cleavage and no hassle (when dancing). The second part is going to be about re-creating a gaw-geous celebrity look (it's a surprise...don't scroll down and be a cheater!). They tie together beautifully because helping and re-creating are my favorite things to do on posts!! I hope you this post as if it were marking 50 of em'! (Wait it is...!)

I love those dresses, and I'm attending a bat mitzvah soon, and I'm in desperate need of a dress. I'm rather petite and want something rather conservative (no plunging necklines or v-necks) on top, but the bottoms can't be too long (seriously, who wants to go around holding your dress off the floor?, and I like colors. Can you help? :)...
...Oh, by the way Geisha, forgot to say...I'm on a budget...the dress can't be more than $150, but I'd really like if it was under $100. Thanks if you can answer my bat-mitzvah plea.

Okay, I have found the most perfectly petite colorful, non cleavage-enhancing, easy-to-dance in dresses that hopefully- you will adore! Plus, they are all under $150...and none of em' are BCBG!
(One of them is even way under $100!)

All 6 (!) dresses can be found at Nordstroms nationwide!

I adore these two a-line dresses for their vintage Grease appeal and for the fact that they can be varied in so many ways! Wear with a white patent leather headband and matching peep-toes (vintage-y) or go for metallic accessories for something really modern...it's really up to you! The first red one is the Bari Jay Strapless Organza Dress for $148 and the second chocolate colored uber-cute polka-dot one is by Eliza J and is the Mesh Dot Halter Dress for a cool $118.

They may look the same...but trust me their not! The gaw-geous aqua one is two-toned and has a slightly different ruching (wrinkly stuff) -approach than the canary yellow one. These two are personally some of my faves, especially the aqua or azure (!) one! They are both by Maggy London and $148.

I paired these two dresses together becuase they just look sort of Grecian which is a big upcoming trend for this season (again). Both are free-flowing and natural, and tend to look better with curves. This is why I picked these two out because they look awesome with or without curves, petite or not. The coral orange one is Maggy London for $148 and the hunter green is by Necessary Objects for $58...yes I know it looks so much more expensive!

Part 2: The Celebrity Look!

And the winner is...Christina Aguilera!!! I picked Christina because never in a million years would I have re-created a look of hers in her X-Tina "Dirrty" days. Now she is so glamorous as if she was a modern Marylin Monroe (NOT Manson!). This is my favorite look of hers (she is in London):

It doesn't cost designer!, Wet Seal Peep Toe Heels $24.50 (cheap and adorable...Love It!!!...notice how the color of the jacket, spots on heels, and bag all match- that pulls the outfit together), and Alloy Tiered Heart Necklace for $16.50.

Next Up? Swipe on some Revlon Red lipstick and clip on a laquered red barrette on your shiny new platinum 'do- and paint the town red!!!

"Everybody Shantung Tonight" Now That Song is Stuck in My Head....

Have you ever been invited to an elegant wedding or something, and have had to go all the way to Nordstrom's or whatever and buy a gorgeous dress (boo-hoo for you! *sarchasm*) to find the dress sitting in the back of your closet, gathering moth holes and dust mites, never been worn again after the event? Well it happens to tons of people but not anymore! First of all, keep the cut of the dress classic and flattering- for example, imagine you lived in the 80's (that would be so cool!) and wore a Golden-Girls esque dress with showgirl sequins and big boxy shoulder pads...you would probably die of embarassment looking back at that picture right? Exactly! Next, preferably keep the color neutral so people won't notice that much if you wear it again, like nobody is going to say "look at whatsername wearing that same black dress", they'll say, "look at whatsername wearing that same aqua sequined minidress with the ruffly bottom"! If you really cannot resist, at least make the color flatter you- a good idea is to get a stylish celebrity that has your same basic features (eye color, hair color, skin tone, etc.) and see a color that she looks good in or wears a lot...chances are you'll look good in that color too! For example, if you are a blue-eyed blonde, going for Gwenyth Paltrow's color choices would definetely work. Lastly and most importantly, remember to check the guest list before going to a party so nobody will see you wear the same dress twice...if you are a celebrity- this post does NOT apply to you!! (if you must wear a dress twice or more in front of the same people, try to accessorize it differently, like a cinched belt at the waist or something).

Here are some more muted color choices I picked out from Shop Bop and Nordstrom's:

These longer v-necks flatter and slim the body in silk/satin. I love how the first won just skims over the body looking so sultry but modest at the same time- same goes for the second one that flatters the body so much its unbelievable! Top:Graham & Spencer Silk Charmeuse Dress, $306 (pricey but worth it) Bottom: Dave Meister Stretch Satin Dress, $368 (same goes for this one).

These two stunning but simple dresses always look cute wether at a religious or sad event (with tights and modest shoes) or at a wedding or fancier party. The top one is the Generra Pleated Dress for $295 and the bottom one is the Delias Leah Dress for an unbeatable price of $44.50- it might even be prettier than the Generra one!

Lastly, I am really loving strapless lately, especially with a-line bottoms that create curves modestly. Never wear these dresses with tights, that would just look so wrong! The top one is from Velvet Torch and is the Shantung ("everybody shantung tonight"...isn't that a song from the 80's or something?) Tube Dress for a great $62. while the bottom one is the Love from Ya-Ya dress in ruby for $185.

Latin American Vogue

The other day when I went to the local grocery store, they had the new issue of Latin American Vogue, and I decided to pick one up. What I noticed was something horrible... they had the same exact things they had in United States Vogue ,in Spanish of course, but from two months ago!! I mean the 80's comeback shoot with Gisele Bundchen from two months ago? In the new issue of Latin American Vogue!! The last look at the end of all the Vogue's where they post all of the "new" cool fashionable items? The same exact thing in Latin except from two months ago in Vogue- these tacky in a good way navy with a big acrylic rose on top silk sandals! I mean don't they know that they are maybe permanently belating all of the Latin people's fashion choices? For all we know, they could still be thinking peasant skirts are in...with Uggs! I mean come on, maybe one month later but two??? This has to be stopped now...a protest perhaps? Got to know that I loovvvee protests! No just kidding....maybe. Anyway... that is the cover of the U.S. Vogue from two months ago... ( i couldn't find a picture of the new Latin American Vogue)

The title has nothing to do with the post, so just don't acknowledge it- this post is actually about "ta-da!!" Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2007... adored it!!! Here were my absolute favorite collections that I j'adored!!! Note: A humongous trend I've been seeing is 60's mod (every collection had atleast a couple babydoll minidresses)...a part of the Anglomania- I bet, so hurry up and wear voluminous minidresses before they end up paired with leggings on a mannequin at Limited Too.

First up, Carolina Herrera...

I adore that evening gown so much, It looks like the perfect prom dress for a very fashion forward person for some reason, with the cinched Fendi- style belt... And the shorter dress looks exactly like something Ashley Olsen would wear!!!

DKNY...

Black was the dominating color for this Urban/Mod/Chic/ NYC collection where she mixed grafitti, blocks of bright colors, lots of black, and ghetto-chic chic clothing with a lot of feminine flair. Even though I prefer the black, I still adored the more colorful ones like at the bottom. Doesn't that long black skirt remind you of last season's Marc Jacobs?!

DVF...

Even though I basically hated the collection ( it wasn't even a collection- nothing looked alike except a couple of pieces) and there was none of her signature wrap dresses *tear, tear*, the only things I like were the ones I'm showing. On a brighter note, the makeup was to die for:

Adore the fuschia lips with the neautral eye color!!! But lets face it, not everybody can pull this off- especially Senora Marta, my elementary school lunch lady who would coat on fuschia lipstick and dab matching eye shadow all over her eyes... Darker skin girls would look awesome in a bright fuschia, while lighter skinned girls should go for a pinker shade with blue undertones- and asian girls should go even pinker (no yellowish undertones!!) as well.

More 60's mod!! I am adoring that fuschia shown on DVF for Spring- I'm planning to buy a bathing suit that color and Fall just begun!!! Anyway, the t-shirtdress is a great staple for everything spring/summer, while the black is just so NOW to pair with tights, jeans beaters and tanks underneath- aahhh... the layering possibilities...

And to finish off...

I love these adorable erasers by Fred Flare!!! I mean, could they get any more adorable? Seriously!! Mistakes have never looked so good- especially at a great priced $8 for all of them, which is a bit less than $1.50 for each.

Riding Boots for Fall 2006

I am loving the riding boots coming out for Fall that are oh so versatile tucked into jeans or worn with cozy knit sweater dresses- plus, they are super comfortable for walking in, due to their flat to about one inch heel! Here are some that I've had my eye on:

I love these new suede knee- high boots in Urban Outfitters because of the versatility, comfort, but most of all, I adore the price: $68- don't the boots look sooo much more expensive?
Even though Delias has always really annoyed me, these boots are actually pretty adorable! Even they don't really look more expensive then they are (that is always a plus) they are definetely buy-able!! They cost $69 and are the "sedgwick " boots- yes very annoying, I know!

For a bit more of an expensive option, opt foe these Nine West Kamella Tall Boots that also look like more of a riding boot, due to the shined leather and foldover top-part. They cost $179, which is relatively a pretty good price- compared to the next one...

Okay, don't laugh. These Prada Cervo Riding Boots have literally been haunting me in my sleep after I saw them in the new Saks catalog thingy that came in the mail. I mean, aren't they gorgeous? But of course- beauty is pain (for you or your wallet) and they cost a crazy (!) $980. Gosh! (that was my Napoleon Dynamite moment and I didn't even notice it when I typed it).

For a much more cheaper option while still being designer, try these great water-resistant Burberry Rubber Riding Boots for $165. They look uber-comfortable and I think they are for actual equestrians! But if you have no plans for jumping on a horse anytime soon, they are great as rain boots for rainy days...obviously.

Definetely pair these boots with tapered jeans like from Sass and Bide or, Abercrombie which is selling great skinny jeans lately at good prices. If skinny jeans aren't your thing, try other Fal staples such as chunky long turtlenecks withe leggings or boyfriend sweaters. Just remember to not overload on accessories- that is just sooo NOT Fall!

58th Annual Emmy Awards

I've been excited about the Emmys all this time not for the awards, but definetely for the style and red-carpet part of it. Here were the looks I loved (and didn't!) for the event:

I absoulutely loved Debra Messing's entire look-from her gorgeous hair and makeup to (obviously) her jewelry and clothes. I'm adoring romantic ruffles this season and this Alberta Ferretti dress flatters her curvier shape perfectly. Julia Louis-Dreyfus looked equally amazing in Narcisco Rodriguez- so much better than her Seinfield days!!!

A definite trend on the red-carpet was solid white or black- or black and white gowns. But "tsk, tsk" Eva Longoria, what went wrong? The hair looks like a cross bettween a cowlick and an elvis impersenators hairdo, she definetely borrowed too much bronzer from her BFF Jessica Simpson (how oranger can she get), and them there was the dress. Even though it was not the worst (we'll get to that later!) The Jason Wu dress did not flatter her at all!

A pregnant Heidi Klum looked stunning in a Michael Kors gown and her makeup was one of the best of the night. The leg baring was a great alternative to a lot of cleavage (*cough*Britney Spears*cough*) and the heels are to die for. By the way, do you remember her not pregnant?

The two worst dressed of the night for my taste, were Virginia Madsen in Kevan Hall (hey, it was better than her Oscars mermaid gown) and Mariska Hargitay in Carolina Herrera. It's a coincidence that they are both floral- now that I mention it- I don't have one thing floral in my wardrobe...wierd. Maybe I have a trauma with florals that traces back to my "younger" years-hmmm...whatever, the dresses are not cute and that is about it!

Tyra Banks was my ultimate favorite of the night in this Georges Chakra gown because it looked so couture and elegant- it was fitted on to her body in Paris!- and looked like if she was actually taking everything seriously. Portia de Rossi also looked quite good in Zac Posen in a Grecian-inspired gown. I adored the gold studs and the flowing bottom, but disliked the red clutch that seemed to go more with the carpet than the dress!!!

Now for some backstage drama: Backstage at the Teen People Awards the funniest thing happened...Jessica Simpson was "chatting" with pregnant Britney Spears and asked to kiss her belly- Britney responded in a country-girl accented "Hell, no!" and left, leaving Jessica what it seemed as "deeply" insulted!

I Know it's Way Too Early But...

Okay, even though some of you haven't even started school yet (!) I'm going to do a post about these two perfect dresses for prom. I know it sounds crazy but whatever I feel like it! These dresses are short so these are not for the Southern Belles that want to look like "a vision in tulle" but for the girls who are a bit more like Rachel Bilson maybe. Anyway, here it is, and I hope you it!

Aren't these dresses just perfectly gorgeous in a Marissa of the O.C. kind of way? I just adore them, so it sucks (a lot!!) that they costs $3410 (the ivory) and $3660 (the black one) by Chloe, but those of you that can afford them...Oh, and definetely wear them with either sky high pumps a' la Christian Louboutin (get great look-a-likes at Nine West or Urban Outfitters; but then again, if you can buy the dress, you can probably buy the Louboutins!) or some foldable ballet flats that are so comfortable and perfect to dance in. I love these two by Nine West:

These slippers are the Luvmyflats Folding Ballet Flats for $49 and come in an array of colors like this patent red that I adore for the outfit and even a gold specked silver that I adore period.

These would also look positively gorgeous with the outfit, but since they aren't real, and you won't buy the Louboutins while wearing a Chloe (!), you are just better off wearing the polka-dotted GO:International Luella Bartley strapless dress you bought a couple months ago. The flats are completely okay though! If you don't care what people are going to think, they cost a good $89.

Oh by the way, definetly top it all of with some layered pearls (maybe Chanel?)

Ballet Flats That Are Absolutely Adorable!

Okay, I sort of hinted by the title that this is a post about these adorable ballet flats. Yeah. Well, I got inspired because I just went to Marshalls and bought these black shiny-ish (not so much to be patent) leather ballets. They are adorable with these cute little tiny bows in the front, and the best part was that they were at a great price of $24.99 being Kenneth Cole and all...but, the clothes were completely and utterly horrible!! I mean there are those people that go into one of those outlets or so called "vintage stores" and come out with this adorable Rachel Bilson esque frock that fits. I go into one of them and either find a. nothing, b. horribly stained in the pits rags that are soooo not vintage! or c. nothing. So it was really a miracle that I found them and they fit, being that I'm toe-claustrophobic and all. Anyway, the whole point was to show the cutest ballets I have ever seen, being that they are so Sienna Miller, who I have always loved since like ever. They are these that can be found at W Hotels the Store or the Sue London site:
I LOVE them!!! If you want them in the color Slate (shown), get them at the W Hotels the Store website for $120, a far cry from my $24.99's but whatever. If you want them in the new Fall colors (look at the Alaskan Gold for a flowy white dress and Lava for everyday wear) get them at the Sue London site for also $120. Don't you just love that they are foldable? Perfect for traveling, and doing ummm... everything?!

Vegan Cosmetics

Even though I am not a vegan or vegetarian (even though I did think about it after seeing Finding Nemo yesterday), a ton of people are these days and I know it is very hard to find good quality makeup that is vegan. So I'm doing a post about not only vegan cosmetics; but of hair supplies, accessories, and even some stuff for Fido! Here it is:

A website I really love for everything vegan ( it even includes vegan deodorants) is Vegan Unlimited (it's the best site for this lifestyle), but I adore the makeup it has! All of the makeup has quality, and is long lasting, some even say vegan lipsticks are better because they have no artificial ingredients so they glide on ultra creamy...Here are my picks from the website:
This Auromère Herbal Toothpaste is made out of all natural ingredients that are excavated and examined over and over, when in reality it is just toothpaste! But whatever it's good for people with sensitive teeth and the packaging looks pretty Ricola. It's $4.50 which isn't that bad considering how much work they put into them.
This Vegan Curdoroy Dog Collar is adorable! I love that it looks like the collars the 101 Dalmatians wore. So if you have a Dalmatian, get this collar, your dog will look very fly. It costs $24.00.

For those who are looking for their daily sunscreen, this one would be good because it has SPF 30 and I read in Teen Vogue the other day, that that is a really good SPF number and you really shouldn't go lower than that. An added plus is that it's sweat+water proof you you don't look like milk is coming out of your pores. It's Terrasport for $9.99.

A great shampoo and conditioner duo I found on this website was the Max Green Alchemy Scalp Rescue pair. Supposedely it's great for all types of hair and they really help dandruff and extreme dryness in the scalp. The ending result is Pantene commercial- style hair. They cost $14.00.

I really love the Vegan cosmetics line Zuzu Luxe for its quality, smooth gliding make-up, and everything is long-lasting. The most popular lipstick on the whole site is this one by the brand $13.99 that is infused with all natural ingredients for smooth un-chapped lips (it's basically an extremely colored lip balm). I am also loving the blush colors (check out the blush brush here) for $15.95 and the eyeliner for $10.45 especially in the shade Iguana. Lastly my fave for the brand is definitely the mascara because who doesn't love mascara? It's $12.95.

2. Smith's Rosebud Salve

Haven't you noticed that everytime you read an article about a celebrities favorite beauty finds, or have a peek into their bag, there is always something about Smith's Rosebud Salve? I have, and that's why it's here (d'oh). The Rosebud Perfume Company was actually founded in 1892, and set out to make a multi-purpose product that was both affodable and effective. This cult-favorite, multi-purpose lip balm soothes dry or chapped lips, calms and heals irritation, helps deissapear blemishes and soothes the sting of minor burns. Try dabbing on dry elbows or knees to condition, and relieve dryness. Also an excellent remedy for the treatment of diaper rash. Not that you would have diaper rash. I hope. Anyway, it does so many things (and is effective in all of them [ I have it so trust me!]) that no wonder it's a celebrity fave! It costs an inexpensive $6.

2. CHANEL Waiting List Nail Colors: Vamp and Black Satin

In 1994, CHANEL set off catfights at the beauty counters with its launch of Vamp, a perfect nail color that looked all business at work, but could be oh so sexy anywhere else. Vamp is still mostly out of stock in stores, even after 12 years!!! I guess CHANEL decided to do it again, because Black Satin is doing the same thing to people. But it's worse this time: it's limited edition, so it will end, causing even more catfights with women trying to buy every Black Satin they see in sight so they could (hopefully) have for the rest of their lives. Black Satin is so desired throughout Hollywood and everyone else that their is a WAITING LIST! Even though both are originally $18, Vamp is the only one you can get at that price at the CHANEL website. Black Satin on the other hand, isn't really found in stores anymore, so you should best check on Ebay or write yourself down in the list!

4. DUWOP Lip Venom

Plumpin' It

Okay, even though most people would say "NO!" in horror if you asked if they would use a lip plumper, a lot of them and others would in reality definetely use them. Like i'm sure you would absoulutely hate, just hate, if you were born with Angelina Jolie's or Scarlett Johansson's pout or some other person who has a plumped pucker (that sounded sort of cool, plumped pucker, plumped pucker, haha!). So I decided to do a post about lip plumpers...No injections needed!!

I decided to start with Duwop's Lip Vemom because it's the one I read in every magazine that actually does plumping. Another thing is that I actually tried it and even though it stung a bit (try a lot) I did see a significant plumping factor and the shape of my lips was bigger to create that "bee-stung" look. It's $16 at Sephora ( all the others are from Sephora, too) (by the way, it's also glossy so it leaves your lips makeup'd at the same time).

An even better alternative, for my taste, is Duwop's Pink Shimmer Lip Vemom that has the same everything as the original but with a light reflecting cute pink color. It costs just a buck more at $17.

Next is Fusion Beauty's Lip Fusion XL that looks pretty good, on account that it's actually been the best selling lip plumper in Sephora since it came out. What you do is you put it on before bed, and "miraculously" wake up with quote "the most intensely plump, firm, hydrated, and full-out sexy lips you've ever known - naturally!" The cool thing is that it's basically a collagen injection in a bottle without the injection (do'h!) and costs way less at $50 that isn't cheap, but if it works just as well (or maybe a bit less but still significant) it's not that bad.

If you want to try Lip Fusion without the "treatment" part, try Fusion Beauty's Lip Fusion Color Shine that comes in loads of different colors and supposedely plumps in seconds, and you can apply whenever you want (plus: it lasts up to 48 hours!!!) Each tube is $36 (clear color) or $38 ( all the other real colors).
My favorite shade is definetely "Sexy":
I love lip glosses with those "candy apple" shades, they are sooo cute!

Then there's the Too Faced Lip Injection that looks pretty good judging by the brand and all of the celebrity clientele it has! It is supposedely a "secret weapon against puny, lifeless lips" (that was a quote!) and even though it says it does have a significant "tingle" (tingle = burn in the lip plumping business), quote of the ad: "Sweetie it's so worth it!" It costs $18.50 and comes in clear as well as 3 neutral-ish colors that look cute, too.

If you want to go all out with this lip plumping business, try Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Plumping Collection that comes with the original Lip injection (in its original size!) as a sort of base to work with, the Lip Injection Extreme for a more long term plumping treatment, the Lip Injection Mask that is like a scrub that exfoliates your lips, and to top it all off, the Technocolor Lip Plumping Gloss that is the finishing touch. The whole set is a great deal at $29.50 for everything. Plus, the packaging is just so darn adorable!

My last one is for those that get creeped out with the thought of collagen messing with their lips, or just don't want to go through that awful sting and thought there was nothing out there. Well there is and it's from the ultra-fabulous Benefit! It's the Lip Plump that actually doesn't do much to your lips at all, except just filling out the lines and creases you have and making the contour of your lips look more defined, resulting in a faux-plumped look. It costs $20, by the way.

Fall Coats:101

This post is going to be about all of these different Fall coats/Tunics and the boots to wear them with as well as accessories to pair in. Here are some rules to follow when shopping for this perfect Fall look: Make the coat the focal point of the outfit- with military buttons, embroidery, or unique fabrics while keeping the boots perfectly 80's and up to the ankle but simple. Also make sure to finish the look with skinny pants or jeans, or leggings. Anyway, Here are my favorites:

The Classic

I adore this Marc by Marc Jacobs Wool Coat! The expensive price of $584 is worth it because of the ultra-flattering cut, perfect length, and neutral color while still being a bit unique. It will become a staple in your wardrobe. Pair it with grey Danskin Ankle Leggings ($23.00) to give the look dimension (not all black), the gorgeous boots pictured below that are the Michael by Michael Kors Winter Warrior Bootie for $188.85, and maybe even a a headband that is also shown below- it's the Chick by Nicky Hilton Headband for $5.50 at Claire's. Top the look off with the Dior Cannage Large Shopper for $1370 that just pulls everything together.

The Simplistic

I am in L-O-V-E with this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Tunic because of the chic-ness while still being super comfortable, and it's so wearable! I know, black again, But it really is the IT color for Fall, and you can really mix it up however you want with this color without looking crazy. You could pair it with a fitted turtle-neck in black as shown, but you might end up looking a bit boring. If you want to mix it up a bit more, instead opt for a fitted turtleneck dress in an eggplant color (another super IT color for Fall) like the one shown above from American Apparel that costs $36.00. Definetely wear the look with dark wash skinny jeans (you decide which brand works best for you) tucked into these Urban Outfitters Leather Foldover Boots for $125.
Pull the look together with this Isabella Fiore Printed Hobo for $575 and this Lori Bonn Cocktail Ring for $88.90.

Weekend Wear-er

Even though most people would say this JLO Wool Coat is NOT in any way a neutral, it actually is because you can pair it with almost anything. This trench is perfect for weekends because of the casual hood and fitted form. You could pair it with some black Danskin ankle leggings for $23.00 and some camel coloured accessories. You could add these Michael by Michael Kors Winter Warrior Booties for $188.85 (yes, I showed them in black already, bu they look really cute in this color with the outfit). To top it all of throw in this Isabella Fiore Glitter Crocheted Hobo for $460 that coordinates great with the whole look, and great oversized sunglasses like these from Tom Ford that cost $300.

Cartier LOVE Charity Bracelets

I am in love with the Cartier Charity LOVE bracelets! Each bracelet has a different silk cord on it that stands for the different 8 charities (each charity has a different celebrity as its rep.). Red is Rosario Dawson for Youth Aids, White is Salma Hayek for the Salma Hayek Foundation, Baby Pink is Scarlett Johansson for USA Harvest, Blue is Sarah Jessica Parker for UNICEF, Deep Pink is Liv Tyler for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Green is Edward Norton for Maasai Conservation Trust, Black is Michael Stipe for the Mercy Corps/ Gulf Coast Recovery and finally, Deep Purple is Spike Lee for The Maurice Kambar Institute of Film and Telivision and The Tisch School of the Arts. Even though I think all of the organizations are wonderful; and very, very useful; I am sort of dissapointed that they didn't include a bracelet for Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks would very much benefit from having a bracelet because $100 of the $475 price tag goes to the special foundation, and I guess many people would buy it, on account of that so many people now-a-days have Autism or have a family member with it. I have even sent an e-mail to Cartier asking if they could think about doing a bracelet to fund Autism Speaks! But anyway, the bracelets are adorable, and you will indulge in guilty-less shopping! What more can a girl ask for?

I am sooo excited for the Fashion Rocks Event (Sep. 8, 9PM; CBS)!! For those who don't know, it's this event that collides Fashion and Music in one, and a lot of performers will be singing there like the Black Eyed Peas and Christina Aguilera, plus there will be loads of fashion related things. Also, Elton John curated it so maybe (If we're lucky!!) he'll tell off Madonna and it'll set off this huge scandal through the airwaves...Can't Wait!!!!
I L-O-V-E the new Marc by Marc Jacobs watches! They are all super fun with bulky cuffs, patent leather, and cute little necklace charm timepieces (apples, stars, etc.); all with a futuristic feel to them. Here are some really cute ones:

In Louis Vuitton (top)they kept it very fall with velvet, but gave the look a contrast with a bright summery color. Stella McCartney (bottom) also kept it very fall looking with tonal head-to-toe navy.

Lanvin (top) kept the look very refined and classic, while Louis Vuitton (bottom) opted for a trendier, monochromatic tweed look that screamed Fall.

The Skinny Jean

The skinny jean ruled the Fall Runways denim! Fact: There was only one women's wide legged jean on the 2006 Fall Runway, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Suspeder Pants.

I am really noticing another Fall trend: pairing denim with navy pieces like sweaters, shirts or bags (in different shades of navy) and then closed shoes like Luella (top) and Stella McCartney (bottom) did. It looks pretty cute!

These outfits by Desquared2 (top) and Roberto Cavalli (bottom) also caught my eye.

Plaid

Plaid isn't just for scottish skirt-wearing men anymore, people, now it's tres chic! Here were my definite favorites on the runways:

Plaid jumpers were definetely a trend in the Fall runways, the finishing product looked so sweet and demure! Luella (top) and Michael Kors (bottom) were right on track with the trend.

Plaid, voluminous skirts are yet another trend that was spotted in the runways, making the look "effortless school-girl chic"! I loved How Luella (top) and Alexander McQueen (bottom) designed the look.

Black Patent Leather

Patent leather is an up-and-coming trend right now for Fall; it really is so glamourous with the black giving it a vixen sense to it! Here are some patent accessories I'm really loving:

The title pretty much hinted I am in LOVE with Gwen Stefani's both lines: Harajuku Lovers, and L.A.M.B. of course. You either hate or love Gwen Stefani's style and lines and I personally love 'em. Both lines are so creative and girly-ish but have that punky and rocker flair, sooo-Gwen! The difference between them is that H.L. is way more Tokyo with cute/borderline crazy clothes screened with cartoons while L.A.M.B. is more like American Sportswear with an edge. L.A.M.B. is more expensive, too. Here are my picks from her both lines:

HARAJUKU LOVERS

This Bananas Zip Hoodie is adorable in that Harajuku way, it really is cute. It can also be a staple in your wardrobe with jeans to mini's, with tanks and tees; great for layering... Anyway, the hoodie is $92 which isn't that bad if you use it a lot.

This is the Banana Cuff Bracelet that is a great accessorie for playing with your wardrobe and you can even buy in bulk (you know, for those last minute birthday parties) with the great price of $10.

This "Fatal Attraction to Cuteness" Long Sleeved Tee is just a great screened and fitted t-shirt that is also sure to be a staple in your wardrobe. It's $57, by the way.

I just HAD to put these Banana Patches Assortment in here, now they are adorable! Wouldn't it be so cute to put the bunny on like a black bookbag? The assortment comes with a bunny (duh), cupcake, banana, clock, and Harajuku logo; they're $15.

P.S.-Isn't the background amazing on the clothing pictures? I love it!!!

L.A.M.B.

This Ruffle Henley is the same amount of sweet and sexy that you could layer it under a suit for work (if you work in that office-like environment) and wear heels, or pair it with jeans for weekends. The price is $77.50, which could be too much for a normal cotton henley if you won't wear it much.

This Modal Gown is so gorgeous and unique with just the right touches of old Hollywood Glamour!!! I love how it also adds a rocker-chic vibe to the mix making it oh so very-Gwen, It is $262.50.

This Double Lock Crew Tee is a great staple in your wardrobe and acts as a neutral because of the white (obvious) and because it has both silver and gold hardware so you can wear really any jewelry you want (silver, gold or both!) It's also a really good price at $32.50.

I really love the vintage and old-glamour feel of these ruffle shorts, I would definetely wear them, which is a lot to say considering this type of clothing item isn't exactly my style. It obviously is not a "neutral" but it could really work with maybe a sage green (SIMPLE!) basic top because of the stem design. The shorts are $82.50.

These are definetely my favorite shoes from the L.A.M.B. collection because they are both a combination of hip-hop and rocker sneakers (think Vans+K-Swiss). I love the gold, silver, and black chains on the "Katella Tex" sneakers for $100 in natural/gold becuase they are just plain cute! And I love the "Baby" Sneakers for $129 in black because they are luxurious but "street-ish" at the same time.

The 80's: More Than DJ Tanner's Hair and Madonna

This post is going to be about the 80's comeback in fashion that have been seen in almost all the Fall Runway's. And wierdly, leggings are "IN" more than ever. But not colorful neon colors, but more simple black ankle-length leggings. Here is an idea of how to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe:

THE LEGGINGS+COAT COMBINATION

The Cameron Trench from Delias is the perfect length for this combination because it's not too short or too long when paired with leggings. Also, the trend calls for something to make the coat special and here, it is the big buttons and military style collar. The price at $64.50, is really great because it's a piece you'll wear a LOT.

Pair the coat with these Danskin Womens Supplex Ankle Pant leggings (left) that will make your legs look slimmer and more defined. They cost $31.50, which isn't that bad considering you'll use them in almost all of your 80's-style outfits. If you feel wierd about wearing leggings as pants with a short trench like the outfit calls for, then you could always wear the Miss Sixty J Lot Skinny Pant for $89.99, instead.

These Davis by Ruthie Davis Element boots (left) are literally one of the most gorgeous shoes I've ever seen!! But they don't come cheap at $243 (they're on SALE!). If this is too expensive, you could opt for the Leather Foldover Boot which at $125, is a way better deal because it still maintains a super high cute factor.

I don't know why I like this Nine West bag so much, but I do. I really do. I love how it has the black trim so it blends with the other black accessories, but it still has an animal print to make it pop. It's the Itemize Frame Satchel and at $29.99, you can have your cake and eat it, too (no idea why I put that).

TV Shows + Reads of the Summer

This post is going to be about new shows this Summer as well as summer books that are awesome. I hope you love it!! Here it is:

The Simple Life: Til' Death Do Us Part on E! is hilarious! Even though they both push the envelope a bit too much, Nicole definetely is way more "OMIGOD I can't believe she did that!" than Paris. The show is about how the two girls go to different families every week, replacing the mom, and do stuff like throw a party for a 15 year old kid without the parents knowing and letting the "daughter" go to school for picture day in blue eyeshadow and fake boobs. It definetely is must-see TV!!

The Hills on MTV is like the mix of PR Girls (remember?) and Laguna Beach which I both loved so naturally, I love the Hills. In this show you see all the "struggles" Lauren goes through with trying to balance her internship in Teen Vogue and college. Through her you meet her air-headed room-mate who wants to be the quote: "fun, party girl" and finally gets to be an assistant in PR but finds out she is stacking papers and licking envelopes, not dancing the night away and planning parties (this is after she quit college). Then there is Audrina, the receptionist/wannabe model-actress and Heidi, the other intern in Teen Vogue. Overall, you'll find yourself tuning in every Wednesday to see ALL the drama!

Making the Band is back for its third season, where the 5 girls that Diddy hand-picked from the millions that tried out the first season to be in his alll-girl pop group are living together in a luxurious Soho loft. Here, the girls: Aubrey, Aundrea, Wanita, Dawn and Shannon have even a bigger challenge than proving to Diddy they have what it takes to be a pop star to go on tour and record an album: getting along with eachother.

In this show, MTV cameras record the daily life of a young 15 year-old girl trying to make it to the music industry. She travels in car from Dallas, Texas to L.A. living in motels until she finally gets there buys a home in California. You see that she is really an average teenage girl, she whines at how strict her parents are, is boy crazy, and can't wait until she gets her drivers license. But, what makes her different is that she is on the verge of becoming a rock star.

If you haven't yet read this New York Times Bestseller, it sure is time to do so. I really recommend reading the book and then watching the movie, not vice-versa. It really is one of the best books I've ever read, because you realy get an insight of the fashion business and what goes on. It's about this girl Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, that lands the job "a million girls would die for." Hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the high-profile, fabulously successful editor of Runway magazine, Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn. She then finds herself in a decision between the ones she loves or her boss.

You really should read all of the A-List books, they are seriously addictive! They are all about an Upper East Side girl with a pedigree who moves to L.A. (living with her father) to find adventure. She meets a guy Ben who she is off/on with all the time, Sam her best friend in L.A. who is an aspiring Director but is very self-concsious with her body, Dee an airhead-ish spiritual yogi, Adam a truly nice guy who isn't L.A. at all, and Cammie who is definetely the "mean girl" of the books.

This book is about four friends since birth (their mothers were all in the same pregnancy aerobics class) Tibby, Lena, Bridget, and Carmen who have spent almost every summer together. And now, for the first time ever, everyone is headed in different directions. Artistic Lena will be in Greece with her grandparents, and Bridget is off to a soccer camp in Mexico. Carmen will finally have her father to herself for a whole summer in North Carolina, while Tibby will be stuck at home in Maryland, saving for a car by working at a drugstore and making a video with a girl who has leukemia (she doesn't know until the ending part). But a pair of jeans, dubbed the "Traveling Pants," transforms each of them. The power of these pants, sent from girl to girl, helps each of them through the trying experiences they go through that Summer.

These two definite must-reads for the Summer are about 5 girls from OCD academy in Westchester, New York who call themselves the Pretty Committee. There is Massie Block who with her designer wardrobe, bottomless bank account and witty comebacks is the queen bee of the Pretty Committee and the rest of the social scene at OCD. Alicia Rivera is Massie’s second in command and is as sneaky as she is beautiful. Dylan Marvil is a rich redhead that is always uncomfortable with her body because she is "fat". Kristen Gregory is blond, athletic and brainy. Which is why Kristen won the seventh grade scholarship to OCD, with her being middle-class. Claire Lyons, the new girl from Orlando is clearly not Pretty Committee material and Massie, Alicia, Dylan and Kristen have no problem letting everyone know it. But, Claire’s family is staying in the guest house on Massie’s family’s huge estate so their stuck with eachother.

Resort 2007 Runway Collections

This post is going to be about the Resort 2007 Runway Collections of Oscar de la Renta and Dior by John Galliano which were my favorites of the Resort collections. I hope you it! Here it is:

OSCAR DE LA RENTA

In Oscar de la Renta's resort collection, many of his dresses really had a Southern belle flair, like from a Coming- Out party! Another trend in the dresses and really all of the clothes, was to add definition to the waist and to accent the shoulders for a sexy but demure look. He also expiremented with fun prints like wispy flowers and polka dots which I loved. The black and white dress really looks like something Jessica Simpson would wear, for some reason.

Another staple in the Oscar de la Renta Resort runway was the classic trench with a spin on it. For example to accent the trench coat with big gold buttons and pockets for a military-style effect. Or, to play with accessories such as a huge straw hat and gold bag; or huge Jackie-O sunglasses and chunky jewelry. Pairing a shorter trench with bermudas and heels is another way to adapt the winter-y coat to your summer wardrobe.

The biggest trend of all in the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2007 runway, though, was definetely the waist defining dresses. Wether defined by a cinched-at-the-waist belt or just by the structure of the dress alone they looked fabulous! All of the dresses had a vintage look as well, as it had all of these accents such as ruffles or lace that made them feel one-of-a-kind.

DIOR

Lamé, lamé, lamé!!! That's what what the Resort 2007 Dior runway was screaming in almost all of it's pieces. The clothing really looked balanced, with classic pieces that had a rocker spin on them such as glittery sequins or shiny lamé. My favorite of all the outfits was definetely the one with the seafoam colored fur jacket and gold ruched cocktail dress. The other outfit is also pretty gorgeous, with lamé drainpipes and a champagne sateen top.

White hot bags really made an impression in all of the Spring/Summer runways basically because they match with everything in your wardrobe this time around in the year. I love how the bags featured in the Dior runways translate into real life, cute but practical. The only thing is you have to be careful not to dirty it, which is really annoying but that won't stop me from buying one! Plus: the shimmer on the clutch is adorable!

Light-weight trenches dotted in almost all runways this season, but Dior's take on them was my favorite. I loved that they had a sheen to them, making them look really luxurious. They accentuated the trenches really nicely, too, like pairing the python skirt underneath the shiny beige/gold. Or, like the gold sheen on the rustic brown coat with a brown bag to match.

The biggest trend of the Resort 2007 Dior runway,though, was definetely the edgy short bobs on all of the models!

Tanks, Tanks, and More Tanks!!!

Okay, sorry I haven't been posting in a while but I'm baaaack and better than ever! This post is going to be about tank tops and where to get the best, cutest and awesomely priced of them. Here it is:

This Polka Dot Apron Tank from Lux is extremely cute for layering as the model did with a simple and form-fitting tank top underneath or for colder days, a long-sleeved stretch cotton shirt. You can find it at Urban Outfitters for $32.

I adore Cherry Tee ribbed tanks! I love the bright and punchy colors as well as the stretchy and fitted fit they provide to all women. They are simple tanks you can buy in bulk, for one: because of the low price of $19.50 and also because you can wear them everywhere! From yoga studios to the mall, it just depends what you pair them with.

I am really loving this Sweetees Amba Smock Top lately! It just has that south-of-the-border flavor, but also looks trendy enough to wear out to eat, especially when worn with jeans and cute jewelry! If you feel like you have to go for cover, opt for a tank underneath it. It is $69 at Girlshop.

Ever since I saw this American Apparel Highlighter 2 x 1 Ribbed U-Neck Tank, it was love at first sight! The shape really flatters a body, and the shades are brilliant, especially because highlighter is the new "it" thing of the season! It's $22.

I'm really loving the lace detail on this Abercrombie and Fitch Jil Tank because of the femininity it gives to just a regular tank. Also, the lace paired with the light brown color is very chic! Talking about the light brown, this color looks really good on almost everybody, especially when it has a hint of dusty grey like this one! It is $29.50, by the way.

Flats Fever

I am really loving flats lately for some reason, mostly ballerinas, but even some sandals, too. They just seem so cute-sy but a lot of them are trendy, which makes them irresistible! So I decided to do a post about it, here it is:
I love these ballerinas, they make me just want to do leaps and pirouettes! The metallic color is to die for and you can get them in gold too, but I prefer silver for some reason. They're at Scoop (see my shopping links) for $98.

These adorable Banana Republic weaved flats are really where it's at in fashion, and yes, they're silver again. They are the Delphina metallic huaraches in silver for $88.

I am in LOVE with Gap! It's like they have had a total transformation, no longer being the place where you get those "great t-shirts", but where you can get adorable jeweled sandals, trendy skirts and even going-out shirts. The best part though, is that they have the same low prices. These are the jewel t-straps in gold for $29.50.

I really like the 80's feel of these fuchsia Jeffrey Campbell shimmer ballets, plus, they are really comfortable. And, comfortable + stylish + a hint of 80's = perfect! They are $78 and can be found at Urban Outfitters.

These Old Navy women's Sparkle-Trim suede flats for $19.50 are incredibly cute, and you get the great feeling of a great buy without the regret of an empty wallet later! Also, the suede material gives them a lux feel, even if they aren't necessarily "lux".

This is the lux item in this post costing an expensive total of $510 at Net-a-Porter (see shopping link list). Why? It has that signature red-sole that have all the celebrites craving for, Christian Louboutin, the new Manolo's. They are the leather ballerina flat shoes, by the way.

2006 CFDA Awards Designer/Celebrity Couples

The CFDA awards are like as Vera Wang puts it: "The Oscars for fashion designers, the best award you can get" but the celebrity/fashion designer combos were what kept everybody on their tippy-toes! Here it is:

My favorite duo of all time was most definetely Zac Posen and Shalom Harlow, they just exude this elegance and glamour! The dress he made for her was gorgeous, and she paired just the right accessories which I believe really makes or breaks an outfit. Really, it could not get ANY better!

I loved how Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein dressed Scarlett Johansson, the cut fit her perfectly, and it looked sexy/demure (her specialty in her look) with the peep-toe heels. He won the Womens Wear CFDA award, now I can see why. By the way, love her new red hair!

Could be the wierdest couple, maybe the coolest, but one thing is for sure: they were one of the most fashionable! I love how Lindsay ditched her "a bit tooooo young phase" and opted for a more classic look that called to Julia Robert's Oscars dress (remember?) geometric and black-white. And Karl Lagerfield, really looked awesome with the full on ruffle, only he could pull that off! Anyway, great pair!

Heidi Klum just looks gorgeous in this gown designed by Gilles Mendel, who she is with. The dress really is an aquired taste- either you hate it (you think it's a mushroom) or love it (you think it's a gown a goddess would wear)- and I don't love it or hate it: I ADORE it!!! Also she pulled it off with a smile and confidence, which completes all outfits (oh, and great hair and accessories, too!!!).

Anna Wintour looks great in this elegant and chic navy gown that had 20- somethings coveting for, hard to believe she is in her 50's!! The dress was by International Award winner Olivier Theyskens (Rochas) whom she is with, who also looked (even with his hobo-ish hair) great and elegant-looking.

Accessory Designer of the Year nominee Michael Kors designed this dress for naturally-gorgeous Jessica Simpson, but for my taste, left too little for the imagination and turned out looking way too revealing! I loved her hair and accessories, though (adored the shoes!).

Summer Essential Checklist

Fashion revolves so fast that sometimes even the designers who set the trends get mixed up. So that is why I'm going to present a summer look/essential checklist, you'll know exactly what you need! Here it is:

Flirty Summer Dresses: Layer them under tight-fitted, smooth lambskin leather vests with big round buttons or wide belts worn at the waist to define. Also can be worn with leggings (they're baaaack), espadrille or non-espadrille wedges, or summer boots (no furs).
Leggings: Forget those 8o's flashbacks, leggings are for layering. Use them to add cover to your short-short dresses, your mini's, shorts, or for warmth on breezier nights.
Ballerinas, Flats, and Skimmers: Perfect with drain-pipe jeans, shorts, and dresses. Look for that special IT-factor to make them be noticed in a crowd: metallic finishes, patent leather, lace-ups and embellishments at the toes.
HUGE bags: Small bags during summer lower the confidence-meter, plus the unlimited space is really something to be grateful for during the carry-in-bulk summers.
Pendants: Go for the look of chunky jewelry with your delicate summer dresses, but never pair big earrings with a chunky necklace, that's called jewelry overload.

FASHION 101: TRENDS

This post is going to be covering trends that have appeared during the Spring/Summer of 2006. From swimsuits to shirtdresses, it will be covering (mostly) everything. Hope you it!!!!

GEOMETRIC PRINTS

Geometry ruled the runways, especially in the Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Louis Vuitton and Missoni. The key is to balance the look out with a muted and neutral bag, shoes, and the other parts of your outfit, like they did in both catwalks. If you do this, then the main attention will be on the geometric print, so it won't have any competition with your other pieces.

DAZZLING SWIMSUITS

Another trend you could see everywhere in the Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear was bedazzled swimsuits. Like in the Louis Vuitton runway (left) where they chose to go with chains that included jewels strung to the one-piece and a shimmering gold color. In the Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Alexander Mcqueen runway (right) they also showcased dazzling swimsuits, this time being white, another swimsuit trend.

CLASSIC SHORT-SHORTS

Short-shorts have always been known as sort of trampy, not "Upper East Side" classic. So designers stepped up to the plate and evolved this piece, so now short-shorts can almost be evening wear (almost). The Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Versace runway is my favorite, displaying a big pop of color on top (with matching bag, of course) and neutral shorts and shoes. The Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Miu Miu runway also displayed a very classy ensemble while still looking effortless.

THE SHIRT-DRESS

The shirtdress was truly one of the biggest trends of the year, wether dressed up or down, being loose fitted or structured. One that really struck a chord with audiences everywhere was this Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Stella McCartney runway shirtdress (left). It can be dressy or casual, still maintaining elegance wherever you go. Another shirtdress that stood out was this Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear Imitation of Christ runway one, which is more structured than the Stella McCartney but still feminine.

Summer Birthdays!

Okay, in this post I am going to give you a fabulous idea in what to give to your BFF for her Summer birthday. And I have such a cute idea: a bag stuffed with goodies. Get a raffia or straw beach tote (designer or not) and put in first, a beach-worthy album or scrapbook filled with pictures of your friend with her family and friends (including you of course). The pics could even be specialized in one event like a beach party or barbecue. Next, put in some bedazzled flip-flops, good for the sandy beaches or the Copacabana (I feel Barry Manilow-y today). You should then stuff in either a self-tanner or SPF (or both) and floppy hat for the beach. If you really want to make her happy, put in either a bikini, cover-up, or some big oversized Jackie O's. Here are two examples of this present, on a Costly or Cheapy budget:

CHEAPY

The flower detailing on this embroidered large raffia tote makes it oh-so-feminine but it is still very functional. The raffia and all really makes it perfect for the gift, and the price is even better at $68, Gap.

These Gap metallic rope sandals are for one, absolutely gorgeous, and two: the price is amazing! $19.50!!! The gold roping and all makes it look 4 times the price!!

This Bain de Soleil mega tan sunscreen lotion with self tanner is so innovative because it is two-in-one! The price is awesome at $6.99 at your local drugstore.

This hat has gorgeous detailing and protects you from the sun. It's cowboy but not over the top which is great.Gap open straw hat in natural, $24.50.

This Gap solid key hole one piece is natural and simple in java brown but still very sexy. It is $29.50.

I love this Gap banded dress because the pink color will contrast great with all the neutrals I put in. Not to mention your soon to be tan skin. $29.50, Gap.

These Old Navy women's embellished oversized sunglasses in black are well worth the price at $9.50. They are very Jackie O like the costly ones and are truly chic and expensive looking.

Okay, this post is going to show my favorite fruits and it's color fashions. It's perfect for summer and is so JUICY!!! Anyway, here it is:
STRAWBERRY SHAKE
This hot hue will brighten up any day and outfit, anytime. This chili-pepper color just screams siren! Pair this tint with neutrals and use it wisely, like for example some red patent peep toe heels and straight leg jeans would look fabulous. A little of it goes a long way!!!

This hue is recognized world-wide for its classiness and country-club chic clothing. You can find this citrus-y color anywhere from Palm Beach, to Conneticut, to the East Hamptons. This color looks especially refined when as flourescent as can be and paired with white.

This little marigold number has the perfect mix of 60's mod and the boho of today that you can wear effortlessly at the beach or the local tiki hut or cabana. Tory Burch crocheted dress, $375.

This color warms up and complements all skin tones., and is incredibly vivid. This bright hue is the juiciest of all and is not for the shy or timid!
You will never see neutrals the same way again after wearing this color.

This IncaGirl swimsuit is absoulutely gorgeous! It really takes you back to the Incan Empire days in Peru but definetly with a modern twist! It is the Monte Carlo one piece in orange combo, $230.

This fabulous large bright striped bag is from the Target GO:Global collection. It looks so much more expensive than it really is- and its perfect as your day to day beach bag! Tara Jarmon, Target; $29.99.

WATERMELON DAIQUIRI
Not quite red, but not pink either, watermelon is one of the most flattering of all shades. Especially when worn with sprinkles of warm colors like paprika and cinnamon or of course, a creamy mint to neon lime.

This Laundry by Shelli Segal number is so adorable, and has that true watermelon color to it. The ombre just makes it all the more gorgeous. It is the strapless ombre crinkle silk dress, $215; Nordstrom.

These Damsel cropped leggings in hot rose are great for summer but with the trend remixed. Instead of wearing them with a denim mini or shorts, opt for a simplistic short vintage frock, or under your swimsuit cover-up. Urban Outfitters, $24.

This pique polo dress from lacoste just flatters every body type and is the the real kind of preppy. The gardenia color also makes you look rosier and more illuminated. Neiman Marcus, $140.

This Sophia by Vix contrast ruffle bikini and bandeau top look so watermelon-y that I could not resist! The watermelon pink/red really off-set the creamy green. Both are $39.99 and can be found at Urban Outfitters.

This studded buckle bag in magenta will let you fit in everything you need, and I mean EVERYTHING. The color has a major cuteness factor, too, so you won't lose your style while carrying around a bulging bag! Urban Outfitters, $58.

BLUEBERRY BELLE
This new color in the Summer spectrum is breezier than black but is still very sophisticated. It looks especially crisp and breezy when paired with stark white (no cremes or beige).

This dress lets you channel your 50's style icon or your true southern belle. The pockets make it just the more vintage inspired, so opt for no purse. Diane Von Furstenburg printed dress, $298; N-M.

This Lux knit icon tube dress really fits the bill as a beach swimsuit cover-up. The white apple print is too cute, and looks great with the navy hue. Urban Outfitters, $58.

These Johnson striped denim shorts look very classy and country club chic. Pair them with a crochet top, or something sweet, maybe lace? Neiman Marcus, $230.

This fabulous Luella Stevie stripe canvas bag is definetely dream-worthy. The playful anchor and heart charms make it all the better for added cuteness. It's on SALE, too! Before it was $750, NOW it's $524. Can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue.

This blog has a lot to do with introducing people to new brands so I decided that one of them should be 2BFree. What I love about 2Bfree, and especially these hoodies, is that even though they are just regular old sweats they are original. So if you like original and different these will definetly be better for you then say, Juicy Couture for example. Also, these sweats in particular are great because even though the print has teddy bears and babies, they still manage to look rocker and a bit dark. Thay also have a range of pullovers, zip-ups, sweatpants, shorts, sweat-vests, a dress, and some t-shirts for men...all deconstructed to perfection! AUTISM SPEAKS

Even though I regularly do my posts about fashion, this is majorly important: so listen.
My brother was diagnosed with autism when he was about 2-3 years old. It has changed my life as well as my family's lives. Think of this: kids without a mental disability turning age five on their birthday are happy and joyous and are writing down lists of what they want, looking everywhere for the perfect toys. Some kids with autism at age five don't even know what a birthday IS, let alone a birthday list. The numbers and facts are there: 1 out of every 10,000 children born ten years ago were diagnosed with autism. 1 out of every 500 children born 5 years ago got diagnosed. Today, 1 out of every 166 get diagnosed with autism and the numbers are STILL growing. It is time to take action, and many people have already gotten the memo. NBC's CEO's grandchild got diagnosed with autism so they have started a foundation called Autism Speaks. They also have products on the internet such as magnets and bracelets having to do with the missing puzzle piece. Did you know that Bill Gates had a form of Autism called Aspergers Syndrome? He did. Did you know that Tom Cruise also had a mental disability? He also did. The facts are there so take action.
